Hey y'all My Blade 2017 gave up on me. Apparently there has been a heat-overflow which burned the mainboard. After a horrible back and fourth with the Razer Support, they told me my Blade would be replaced. After finding out they couldn't even find the same Model anymore, they just told me i can get it repaired at my expense. (Because i bought it from Amazon they wouldn't give me any warranty) Why on earth would i be willing to pay one more Dollar for a 2500$ Machine, which didn't even work for a full year? Even if i would get it repaired, where is my guarantee it won't do the same thing again? I feel completly screwed over by Razer and by now i wish i would've never bought anything from them. I think it's completly unappropriate to ask for more Money for something that isn't my fault. If you're thinking about getting a Razer Blade... My advise is: don't do it!!! (Coming from a long-time fan of this brand) Here I am 3 months later. Still no working laptop and a Support-Guy telling
Any info appreciated. I don't want a squinty 15", looking for desktop replacement 17" with beautiful display and mechanical keys.
I just want basic webinar sessions but it will not connect to Adobe connect or Zoom. In zoom it tells me to select another camera. I would prefer not to use the windows integrated camera. I have a Yoga 920 Lenovo and a Dell. Both running Windows 10 Any suggestions?
Hi, looking for guidance to fix these issues: BLUE SCREEN = DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE and DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION OVERHEATING
Hi everyone, recently i've become a Blade-Owner, and overall i like the Laptop. I connected the Blade to my Projector, via HDMI (later via Mini-DP) but always run into the same Problem: As soon as i deactivate the Laptop-Screen (Windows+P, " Second Screen only") the content on my Projector runs very slow and, for example, Netflix-Stream, stutters like hell. When i leave both Displays active, in Duplicationmode, everything works fine...but i don't want the Blade-Screen to be active in this situation. Anyone with some help? Regards
Hi Guys, I am planning on buying a Razer 4K either Blade or considering the Stealth and I'm started to look at the 13" 4k as an option for portability but then would add an eGPU for playing games with an UW display when I am home since I would most likely do most of my gaming at home. Any thoughts on this as I have watching countless videos that suggested that the graphics model Stealth basically sucks for current games unless you use the eGPU, and of course the other question do all game just work with the eGPU or not? Another thought is would I even get better performance with an EGPU and say the desktop 2080 card verse the RTX2080 or 70 built into the Advance Blade? Thoughts and comments appreciated
I am considering of buying Razer Blade 15 i7-8750H and Razer Core X with RTX 2080. I can't find any benchmarks with this combo as every test seem to be made with Razer Blade Stealth or some other ultrabook. I would like to know how much better i7-8750H is compared to ultrabook cpu's.
So I am thinking of getting the new 2080 or 2070 model 15 but here is my question. If I go with the 4K display but connect to an external monitor that say is 140hz or 240hz will the Blade be able to drive that at the higher refresh rates or will everything run at 60hz because of the 4K display built in? Also on the flip if I go with the 144hz 1080p display can I connect say an ultra wide 38 or 49 and drive it at the higher resolutions and see at least 60fps and higher at the 144hz refresh?
Well, I bit the bullet and bought myself one of the new Razer Blade 15 2080s. I've got to say that my first impressions are very good. I'm coming from a 2016 MacBook Pro 15 and I was hesitant to move back to a Windows laptop because the build quality on MacBooks is just so good IMO but I really missed being able to play games when I traveled. I've got a couple issues that I'm wondering if they are normal or worth exchanging the laptop out for a different one. I'd definitely appreciate some feedback. 1. The center of the touchpad seems to be slightly elevated and makes an audible click noise when you rest your finger on it without really applying much pressure at all. 2. There is some minor backlight bleed in the bottom left corner of the screen.
Hi, does anyone know if the 1.05 bios update is already installed on the razer blade 15 base model? The razer updater gives an error that the device is not compatible.. Thanks
Hi, I recently have upgraded my blade 15 to 32GB Ballistix LT 2666Mhz and a Samsung 970 Evo 1TB. I have cloned the original System via parted magic. Now I have the odd issue that the system reboots once a day for no reason. Can anyone advise on this or is this rather uncommon?
Hello everyone, long Story short: After installing the Spectre Bios Update on my 2017 Razer Blade the EC Firmware switched from 4.0 to 2.0. I thought installing the EC Firmware 4.0 Update could resolve this Problem, not knowing that this Update only works for the 2016 Razer Blades. Unfortunately the installing program didn't even mention any complications installing this EC Firmware on my 2017 blade. Well, I cannot turn on my blade and it has to be repaired somehow. Do you know how much it could possibly cost? Is Razer exchanging the whole Mainboard or only the Bios Chip? I am out of warranty. Thanks in advance! Best regards
I ordered the Core about a month ago but I found the GPU I had was incompatible. Although when I plugged in the core it would light up for a bit and it registered as plugged in through thunderbolt and charged my Razer Blade Stealth 16. So everything but the incompatible GPU seemed to be working. I sent the GPU back and ordered the PNY GEForce GTX 1060. Which took about a week to arrive. In the meantime, I never even touched the core. It remained unplugged the whole time. So I pop in a proper GPU and nothing happens. The core doesn't charge the laptop, not a single light comes on inside the core and nothing registers through thunderbolt. I unplugged and turned everything on and off multiple times. I removed the GPU and the core still doesn't do a single thing aside from a small pop of electricity when I plug in the power cord. I've seen a few forums mention a magnet that needs to be budged a bit in order to make a connection but I can't find a picture to really know what exactly is be
I am trying to update my 2070 drive from 417.49 to 418.91 and it keeps saying it can't find a compatible card. Anyone else have this issue?
I hope Razer will come out soon with a new Razer Blade Pro FHD soon. Other laptop manufacturers like MSI have already come out with new RTX 2080 17 inch laptops that have 3 SSDs and 32 GB of Ram. I want Razer to blow MSI out of the water with a new 17 inch RTX 2080 laptop with 3 M.2 slots and 32 GB of Ram.
As I could not find a fitting answer in the forum I like to ask if anyone has experience what the average CPU temperature under stress for the Razer Blade 15 Advanced (2018) should be?
I've got a Blade Stealth on the way, and of course I'm researching what I can do to get the most performance out of it. Just found this excellent video by Brad Ling. Apparently the processor is being hard limited to just under 3.0Ghz under load. Even tweaking power settings in the BIOS can't circumvent this because Razer has hard-coded certain power limits into the firmware. "There's no way this laptop is actually going to deliver the performance it's meant to deliver. Very disappointing... this is the first laptop I've seen that doesn't have to throttle due to it's actually adequate cooling solution, but they just had to make it throttle." Someone in the comments claims that there's a way to 'trick' the CPU into thinking it's receiving less power than it's getting and circumvent those power limits. Wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this, and/or has been able to try it out? [CODE]Advanced/CPU VR Settings/Core IA VR settings/ IMON Slope = 50 IMON Offset = 31999 IMON Prefix = -[/C
Just unboxed this laptop brand new this week. Out of the box suffering massive wifi problems. It would connect, but disconnect the moment I'd do any browsing. I finally narrowed it down to the fact that the device cannot connect to 5Ghz at all (on any network) and stay connected. Going into the driver settings for this Killer adapter and preferring 2.4Ghz has resulted in a stable connection. Is anyone else aware of this problem? I opened a support ticket prior to determining the issue with 5Ghz, but they only suggested updating drivers and factory resets. None of which had an impact. It's very much an inherent problem with the adapter or it's drivers. Google this adapter and Razer and all I get are posts about replacing the killer adapter with an Intel. Surely this device isn't this crippled? Is it a one-off problem with this particular unit? Or is this a complete fail of this entire product line? I'd appreciate some insight from other owners. Thanks
Hellow there. I buying this headset in december 2018 and all things are good. But after installing new version of Razer Synapse i hear a noises in ny headset. Then i deleted Razer Synapse and noises are gone, but THX sound effect doesn't working without Synapse.
Hey everyone. I just bought a Kraken TE and I had high hopes for it. When I put them on and downloaded synapse 3, it sounded like a $15 generic headset and playing games and listening to music sounds so bad. It’s really muffled and the range isn’t good at all. I’m wondering is this just how it is or am I missing a driver or something? I’ve turned on THX and also turned on surround sound in synapse but nothing works. Any info would be great, thanks.
Has anyone tried undervolting yet? Intel XTU reports the "platform" is not supported...
hey guys. i just want to ask if how to upgrade my storage on my blade 15 base model i have 128gb ssd + 1tb hdd is there a maximum storage required? any dimensions i have to be aware of before ordering? suggestions? recommendations? thanks! feel free to comment or chat me. :smile_::smile_:
I just got my new razer blade 15 today and it has bios version 1.02 and want to update it to the new 1.05 and when I start up the software the update button is grayed out. I get an error that the firmware tool is only for a blade compatible system. How can I fix this.
Well my Blade 2017 charger blew up. At least it was not plugged onto my machine. But now the race to find a new charger starts, in US it costs 99$ but in EU (I am in Spain now) it is Out Of Stock (and for what I read it usually stays like that for months). Are there any extra costs if I get one from the US? When will the UE get stock? Can anybody suggest a replacement as well (but I really liked the original form factor). This is my working machine so I am in a bit of a panic here.... quite lame how difficult to replace are those,
Does anyone know when the 4K Touch screen will be available as a display option for the new RTX Razer Blade 15? It says "coming soon" and I cant find any information anywhere about a possible release date for the 4K Touch screen.
