I got this new Razer 15 about 2 months ago. I love it so far but when it comes to the PC Battletech game, it takes forever to start up. I run this game on a desktop with Windows 10 and 3060 TI video card (laptop has a 3080 TI), same amount of RAM and the game start up time on my desktop puts this Razer 15 to shame. What is the deal? I’ve tried tweaking power settings, the video driver is up-to-date as of 12-04-2023 but my old desktop will beat this laptops ass to death on starting Battletech (an old game 6+ years old). I didn’t imagine I would spend all this money for a a laptop with better specs than my desktop and it can’t even start an old game faster than my slightly lower spec desktop. I haven’t tried other games yet (Armored Core 6 is in the list), is there some magic setting to really let loose with on the Razer? This is kind of a disappointment so far. Old game on a high end Windows 11 laptop has crappy startup on this game vs my slightly lower spec windows 10 desktop that blo
Hey guys,I get 96g ram on 5600mhz on my Razer 16 and using undervolt function in synapse to keep the machine cool, it all works fine until the new BIOS released last two months.I know the BIOS 2.02 give the option the undervolt protection, but I cann't find the undervolt option in snapse, I use WSL2 a lot, the other software like throttlestop or intel XTU all need to close the some windows features which is eseential to WSL2, which means I still lose the undervolt function in my case. Also I find the ram start working on 5200mhz.I follow the comments in reddit to downgrade the BIOS to 1.07 and the ram go back to 5600mhz, but the undervolt option still missing in Snapse, maybe the Snapse upgrade to the latest version automaticlly? I try to downgrade the Snapse but find no solution. This really trouble me a lot and I don't know why Razer did this, I never saw any company reverse upgrade their product like Razer, maybe plus Apple. I mailed Razer and they blame this problem to microsoft mak
I recently experienced the battery bloat issue I've read so much about online. I ordered a battery off of amazon, installed it and the computer booted up immediately. Then I tried to plug it in to recharge the battery but it wasnt recognizing the power adapter and the battery discharged itself and the laptop shut down. Since then I have not been able to reboot the device. The power brick has a green LED light on it but the laptop showed a red light and died. Theres no green light saying it charging. The laptop also isnt booting at all. I read that with a dead battery it should still boot using the power adapter plugged in. But this is not the case. The laptop does nothing. How do i fix this issue? Ive tried the steps on the razer troubleshooting page but nothing seems to work. Is my power adapter defective? It appears to be working fine. Please help.At least let me know if the laptop is trash so I can cut my losses, and return the new battery in time for a refund.
I have the razer core x chroma and a rtx 3080, I connect the tb3 cable to the pc and I hear sound from the power supply but neither gpu fans or system fan will turn on. The pc doesn’t show the gpu in device manager but shows the core x chroma in settings under Bluetooth devices
When I connect a monitor through a dock using DisplayPort or HDMI to a USB-C port, it defaults to utilizing the Radeon graphics GPU instead of the more powerful Nvidia one. I am aware that the HDMI port is directly linked to the Nvidia GPU, but the current setup limits me to just one monitor on the Nvidia graphics, impacting overall performance.
Hi Razer community, I own a Razer Blade 14 (2021) and the touchpad just stopped working. I have had this issue before, but then I could just uninstall the “l2c hid device” in the device manager and it worked when I was searching for changed hardware. However, this does not work anymore… I also installed the most recent windows updates (Windows 11) as well as the most recent chipset driver, but it did not work and now I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?
Change the screen refresh rate depending on whether the laptop is connected to or disconnected from a power source
I recently bought myself a Razer Blade 14 2022, with a RTX 3070ti. Before this I had Asus Rog Zephyrus g14, (2022 model).I really like the following Asus feature: depending on whether the laptop is connected to power, the screen refresh rate changes. Razer does not have such a feature, which, in my opinion, is very, very bad. This modification for Synapse was already discussed earlier on the forum (Synapse 3 - Change refresh rate based on power source??? | Razer Insider), but, alas, it is only available for 2023 models (this is unfair!)So I tried to take matters into my own hands and wrote a program that automatically detects whether the laptop is connected to power and, depending on this, changes the screen refresh rate. For now, frequencies of 60 Hz and 165 Hz are supported (this is hardcoded, but if someone uses this, we can discuss how to create a certain config). Download link: https://github.com/anatolkavassermann/refreshRateChanger.How to set up the program:install .Net 6.0; down
Hi, I have a 2 year old Razer Blade 14 2021 edition and it's heating up quite fast now. I read online that laptops more than 2 years are recommended to re apply thermal paste. Can anyone recommend a good rb14 thermal paste? What's the sizes as well for the thermal pads?
I want to add a comment here for those of you thinking about repasting. I bought a Blade 16 with the 4080 in it. Please, RZR, sell the 4090 with the QHD display (off topic :)). I always thought the PC ran hot, just compared to my previous experiences. In Intel XTU, settings on boost/High GPU, the Blade was thermally throttling and instantly hit 100 c. I then went into overclock, disabled boost all together, kept the CPU at max 120w, and was still instantly thermally throttling. I then undervolted the CPU in XTU (-.110 Core offset, -0.090 Cache for P & E Cores). It was, of course, thermally throttling, still as I expected, but the frequency on the CPU was higher. (I have not kept tuning from here, just the first settings I ran with from what I believed was a good starting point, and it was stable for 14 hours with no HW Info Errors. At this point, I was really confident I needed to re-paste the computer. I have not done it before (but I do build quite a few desktop PCs), and I was a b
I have Razer Blade Stealth 13 (2019). I have used the recovery that wiped everything from the laptop and made new fresh windows 10. The problem is that the version is 1903 and windows is refusing to update to newer version probably because the version is too old for update to 2H22. I´ve searched a lot of forums but couldnt find the fix. Is there any other way? The next question is: Can I format everything and do fresh install from USB? Then just download drivers for everything from website.
Hey, everybody. I have faced with a problem. I have a lot of devices from razer, but on PC there are not so many usb ports. I bought standard hubs but for some reason razer devices with such things do not work well.Maybe you can suggest a good hub that will support razer chrome and work with all devices?
Sorry for my bad English, but is something that I don’t know. When it’s going to be available in Spain. The blade 15, 16 and the blade 18 are already out.Does anyone know when? And if you have any type of information post it pls. Thanks.
Hi all, I have a question. My Blade 17 comes with 280W charger, since it connected behind my desk, I thought that I will buy second power brick for travel. I have bought in Razer online store 230W charger. When I’m connecting it to my Razer, I got this info:My question is if I can use my Razer with 230w charger or I will damage my Blade and/or battery in my Blade?
I just received a “new” blade 16 as a replacement to my last one. My last blade 16 ran up to 107c. My “replacement” hit 104c after about 20 minutes of gaming. It doesn’t seem Razer has an actual fix. They were concerned enough to replace my blade, but then replaced it with a new blade with the same problem. Can Razer solve the heat issue or do I have to take matters into my own hands?Does your blade 16 heat up in the same way? Note: I elevate the back of the laptop, fans run on full. CPU is on boost to enable fans to run on high, and gpu is on high.If I have to back off performance because factory cooling can’t cool the laptop, i’m not sure the purpose of this laptop.
Razer Blade 16 Power Plan Settings show 2 different plans simultaneously active, which is really active?
Click on start and type the word “power” and “Choose a power plan” will appear, however, only the Balanced plan is visible.Click on Start then settings, power & battery, there are more options including best performance.Viewing CPU performance in HWinfo, the cpu likes to throttle down to 798mhz. This looks to me the cpu is following the “Balanced” plan and not the performance plan.I’m wondering which one is really controlling the power scheme.Anyone know?
Hi, yesterday i noticed something while i was playing fortnite on my razer blade 15(rz09-0328) 2020 base model i noticed that the icon in windows that shows that the device is charging was going on and off, it kept going until i closed fortnite, so i found out that when the power is underload it was doing this, then i shut off my laptop and listened to the transformer inside of the adapter it was stable but when i but it under load it was pulsing 0.7 second in between. so i did these :*checked for overheating which was normal on epic setting on fortnite : gpu 77,cpu 83*unpluged all usb’s, hdmi port extenal hdd etc. the moved to a diffrent place with a diffrent socket *tried to update all things but nothing came up*i read this but nothing helped me no EC update for the base model *trying to position the plugs/cables good so i made sure that no port was not in place/loose im sick of it, it only happens when im putting it under load all my cables where rated to 10A 210-240Vi have the plu
i have been looking all over for an answer, and this site and reddit are the only 2 places i did not look. i have a HP EliteBook 745 G5 and i never had a laptop with a type-C port. from what i can tell on my research is that the type-C port on the side is a DP port (Alt mode). but before i go spending money on an Razer core or any eGPU, i wanna find out if my laptop can support them first. is my laptop compatable with an eGPU, or does it NEED to be a thunderbolt port to support it?
