Using the Vive and the technology is amazing, but finding games for it is still pretty hard.

I like VR, I have Samsung VR, obviously not the best of the best but its quite interesting, I would wait a few more years till there are more contents for it and the tech to be more mature than it is now. I see really great potential for it but it needs a lot of quality developers and engineer to help push it farther to where it will be relevant and useful. I can see VR becoming really really useful in many industries. A whole new world of its own.

Not till the price of everything goes down. Theres alot of interesting VR games out there that I want to try but equipment is expensive. And I'm waiting for better headsets!

I want to have VR but the cost is sooooo expensive, I have the computer hardware required but the headsets themselves are too expensive. I expect VR two go either the way of 3D TVs as gimmicks or they could follow the path of 4k and become more widely accessible. VR is a great technology but because it is new the process of making it is way too expensive for it to be practical but if it lives it could become lower cost and accepted.

  6. VR sounds really cool and this technology is fantastic. however, like many people mentioned, its just too expensive now. And not many games support this technology at this time. I can probably see myself getting it when the price drops and the technology is further improved upon.

I'm not getting one. Either this is just a fad that's going to die, or technology really has to advance with VR before people really start considering it.

After seeing what's new with VR and specially super hot for VR.
I am tempted to give a try, this side of the gaming industry is something i want to support too.

Plus with the recent innovations and AMDs good price/performance ratio, it might work.

I tried the Playstation-VR at a friends house the other day and it was great fun, but as a PC gamer I think I need to wait a gen or two for the price to become more acceptable. As it is now I think it is too expensive.

i feel like this has effected a bit of the game studios which were developing for VR.
There can be a lot of good games and ideas for VR, but it is weakened by the fact it costs far too much to experience it.

By the way, just a curiosity, what did you think of the controllers for it?

They were ok, but not perfect. In one game I held a gun in my hand and it was a bit twitchy, like out of focus. I thought I would be able to look at the details of the gun but nope, so I fired the gun instead.....a lot of cans were shot down. :cool_:

My pc is ready for VR with a gtx 1080 but it is wayy to expensive to buy a VR glasses.
Not so much for the price as I bought a card of 700 euro but because of content and it is a new technic with lots of problems still.

I also believe that the future lies not in VR for games. Perhaps there is a use for it In the military for fighter pilots or ground forces. Maybe Vrouw can be used in movies or history where you can go back in time and "re live" it.

The Hololens has many options and functions in a lot of different ways and can be used in everyday life including gaming. But in order to make it functional for this I think it needs to have a thorium battery.
