Its fans cannot be controlled on SYNAPSE!!!!!
    Cannot launch GAME mode!

Although I clicked the Manual mode, the fan speed still didn't change!

Uninstall Synapse and reinstall it (used Razer_Charlotte_Syn3 installer from driver website) again and don’t let it updated (skip and use normally), it solved currently that in my case. It’s Synapse 3 today update the culprit imo.

Thanks, I also met the same problem when update the new Synapse. The whole cooling system just perform fairly bad after the update. Waiting for the latest fix.

+1 here. the cpu seems throttled at 45W and 3.1ghz regardless for performance settings.

Yes it’s seemly new feature on that new update. Idk exactly what is the purpose for Blade 15, but when I saw the description there’s nothing important for Blade 15 performance. Maybe from that limitation is thermal reason. Since I’m good with that and max fans control is needed for running games like SoTR, AC Odyssey etc I stick to original synapse 3 that I downloaded from Razer driver website before, I don’t like playing that game with cpu temperature on 90ish and I also don’t like my cores limited on 3.1 (didn’t notice about that though only saw other users reported also that), balance mode may throttle the power to 35 but sometimes it boost also to max 3,9 multicore.

Yeah it's a tad annoying. I am using the laptop for development and I really need that extra initial burst for compilation :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Razer, please don't break stuff like that. The very first version of Synapse has terrible battery life issues. Is there a link to a specific version I can downgrade to?

Unfortunately no, you can try troubleshooting on window and roll back to certain point before the update to get previous Synapse version imo, didn’t use that feature quite a while so idk if restore points are still automatically saved. I use Synapse updater from laptops support here, to get fans controllable again. It’’s great to know though first version had battery efficiency issue, i thought it was due windows update and drivers optimization that made first week battery life was bad like other windows laptops out of box, I’ll check this later.

I think it should be bought with your Blade or phone purchase, saw today when looking at new stealth there’s options to buy it under purchase button, maybe if you buy it after 21th November, when it’s announced you can ask order support.

Are you guys sure this issue has been resolved? Safe to update Synapse?

Yes, they addressed on same day I believe, saw other mentioned that. I didn’t update at that time immediately though but yesterday updated and it is back to normal. I think I even see better temperature, used to get 89 on AC Odyssey now around 2 degrees lower, same setting ultrawide 1200p, 50~fps.
