It will probably say submitted until they are about to ship the order, at which point they will charge the credit card, if you used one to preorder. This is to be expected.

I'm really hoping this is the only delay..

That means they changed something because they found something in quality control and testing.

Well that was dumb. I preordered the day after hearing about the delay (yesterday)...I had to get my name in the hat. If you have even half a brain, you will know that this laptop is going to be amazing. This is the device with which Razer is expecting to wow the world, with its perfect combination of power and form; two qualities they have blended together with a focus on maximizing the potential for each, without putting a burden on comfort of use. This Laptop is going to make every Apple fanboy say, "Huh? My Mac can't do that...Wait, did that keyboard just...Whhhaaaaat?! Wow, that's like an Apple, except without the bite taken out of it!". Btw, thanks for making the line move up one! lol I can't talk trash though, Asus laptops are great (I am a big fan of a lot of their products, actually, so good second choice), and you can potentially make it more powerful than this one, but that Asus will never be as "Nice" as the Blade, if you know what i mean. No matter though, a laptop's primary use isn't to be extra nice in its design, but it sure does make the experience a whole lot better.

I can't believe you all are whining so hard about this. There are delays in product releases, all the time. There are a few possibilities for this:
    1. This delay is likely a result of them not anticipating that preorders would climb as high as they did, and when they did, Razer knew they couldn't ramp production up fast enough to meet the demand.
    2. Quality Control found something in testing, and being the passionate gamers they are, they had to delay the product to make it perfect. They would rather it be the delay that disappoints you so that they can guarantee the product wows you. I like this attitude, I would rather wait, because I trust Razer is only trying to make it perfect. While you all are complaining about your toy getting here right now, the people at Razer are trying to make art and are trying to deliver it to you in its most glorious form. You should appreciate that when you see product engineers who are passionate in what they do, and with that, you need to be patient, because greatness takes time.
    3. Of course this is the least likely but would be the greatest reason of them all...perhaps Razer was being put on NVIDIA's maybe list on Pascal chips, then when they were told it doesn't look like it will release soon enough, they decided to go ahead and bring the Blade to market with Maxwell, then right before their release, a miracle happens and an NVIDIA rep calls Min at Razer and says, "Do you still want Pascal in your New Blade? We have them ready for you right now, you just can't release or announce it until after we make our official announcement." Then, being the passionate gamer he is, Min exclaims, "Hell Yeah!", but then the CEO in him gives him pause, realizing the potential backlash from a shortsighted, instantly gratified customer base could get hostile, but being the Gaming Godfather he is, he decides that he will endure, boldly ignoring social pressures to make a statement, in order to deliver the best Blade imaginable (Imaginable by Min and the people at Razer, of course, not by all you whiny commenters, you clearly can't imagine your way out of your computer screen. Don't worry, your new girlfriend will arrive soon enough, once Razer is done testing her out! lol)

Either way, you should all know that Razer is only having a delay for a damn good reason, and if they aren't disclosing it to us, it is because:
    1. they can't for legal reasons (ie NVIDIA, Oh lord please let this be the reason),
    2. they don't want to say anything until the details are finalized, for PR reasons, or
    3. they are trying to minimize media attention and any report of the problem would only panic consumers to cancel their preorder, even though they don't realize that it is being fixed because Razer cares about quality.

Anyhow, Razer, if you need to take an extra month to make my laptop the golden egg the goose laid, then take your time, I for one appreciate the extra effort. The rest of them will too, they just don't realize it yet, and anyone who cancels their preorder will only live to regret it. Game on!

I can understand all the points you made. And mostly agree with them. But they also have 2k dollars of mine on hold... Which I can't say I'm a big fan of...

You typed all that to inform us of things we already knew? Asking for some details instead of a short 3 sentence email isn't whining but thank you for your amazing insight. Welcome to the forums.

Now that one, I am not defending but I am sure it is just a logistical mistake, I would hope you called them first...maybe you are getting yours right after the Pascal announcement and they just cant tell you...I'm happy enough with Maxwell but a next gen upgrade is always welcome. For me, they can charge my card whenever they like because in my mind, that money is already gone, but that is just me...I know most people aren't quite as level headed about something like this as I am, which I completely understand, but Razer's own policy is that they don't charge the card until it is about to ship, perhaps you are going to be getting the first wave of fixed/upgraded laptops off the line and they are charging your cards to get ready to ship, but aren't officially announcing the shipment because then everyone will be whining that they have to wait. I would say call Razer and see what is up, if you already haven't. To me, credit card being charged is good news, just get ahold of them and make sure that it wasn't a mistake.

When it is clear from the 100 other posters that they are staying quiet on it, why post the same thing again? Clearly, some people have warped expectations. Seemed to me like there were a bunch of kids who didn't know how to be patient. I swear, we live in a society where if we aren't instantly gratified, we whine until we are. All this 'shame on Razer' nonsense is stupid, especially since all of you who are preordering should already know the kind of company Razer is. They will take care of you and impress at that, just they may take a little longer to deliver it. If you want on time, get a laptop from a company who is more comfortable with cutting corners and looser quality control standards. If you want the best, you may have to occasionally wait a little longer. I actually was happy to hear about it, because it likely means there is a problem I will never have to experience because they fixed it prerelease. That is the kind of strict standards that I will spend my $2300 dollars on.

I still think it was the 22nd all along and thats why it has always said "from" instead of on..which is fine, or maybe they just didny really even know and the 31st was an estimate for manufacturing to be complete.

Just got a new email from Razer. This one looks a little more official in the sense that it has the Razer color scheme and my invoice included. It also has my order number. It says ships from April 25th. Weird thing is that when I click the order status button it sends me to a Digital River website that's findmyorder.com. Which is obviously different from the usual order status link that takes you to the razer website. Idk if I want to enter my order number/password or my email/last 5 digits of your credit card on this site.

Every date for ALL products are estimates, including that 4/22 date, especially from Razer. Mine says it ships from the 25th. Did you order the 256GB? I ordered the 512GB, which would make sense. My invoice says the laptop will be available to ship on the 14th, so with so many dates, I just say screw it, it will get here when it gets here, not a huge deal. I've waited much longer for products to release and I have a feeling this laptop will be worth the wait.

Canceled my order, hope it leads to someone else getting theirs earlier.

Bad move, but thanks for moving me up one. Was it a 256 or 512?

Hmm. I got the email telling me my system was on backorder this morning, but it still says the ship date is from March 31. If I check my invoice online there is no date at all. o_O I suspect I'll be giving them a call later today just to actually get an answer.

  18. 9th page. That's a new record for the white knights to show up to defend the helpless company from all the evil customers. Delays happen, sure. When delays happen with well-managed companies they explain to their customers why it happened and keep them updated on the status. When the 2016 Blade was delayed we all got an e-mail saying "sup brah, you no get laptop, bye".

I just hope that when I get this laptop, my Blues are thriving in the playoffs so that I can deck out my Keyboard in Blue and Yellow...Hell, I might do it even if we bow out in the first round again, as a RIP Memorial...I always wear Blues and Cardinals gear for a week after they are eliminated for that very reason. Come on Blues, make me wear a jersey to the fourth of July! So over the next couple months, I'm hoping for the greatest laptop of all time and the greatest Cup of all time. Hopefully, I get both but I'll be happy if I get just one...Sorry Razer, but I want the Cup first.

Perhaps it is something they cant disclose or they don't want to alarm customers. I understand the need to know why, I really do, that's why I came on these forums, but by no means does the company OWE us any kind of public explanation, they are OFFERING you a chance to get in line to be the first ones to get their new, awesome product. They have already given you a ton of info on the laptop, and schedules change. They owe you a 'when', sure, but they do not owe you a 'why'. There is literally nothing they could probably tell us that would help the situation so they elected to keep things under wraps. If you want the right to an explanation, then you better start buying a whole lot of stock to make yourself important real fast. They notified you of the delay, what more do you want?

Now they haven't charged my CC yet, if they have charged yours, then that is a different story, and if it isn't getting shipped yet, then that is against their policy. However, this is something I am almost positive they will quickly resolve for you if you contact Customer Service, mistakes happen, and if it is one, you need to give them a chance to resolve it before panicking on the forums. I appreciate notifying us of the CC getting charged, but you should know that Razer isn't trying to swindle you, so complaining about the charge, especially before consulting them directly, is just asinine.

For those who still think they are 'owed' an explanation, don't fool yourselves into thinking that your particular sum of $2000 will hurt Razer one bit (They would never say this, but in this case, someone has to), they seem to already be at a high volume of pre-orders (the obvious assumption). However, cancelling your pre-order will likely hurt you, significantly, when your patient friend gets real excited for their new Blade, and you have to begrudgingly start searching for the flaws, in order to justify cancelling, but will probably be disappointed when you find out that they made it perfect, which I'm sure is the reason for the delay. That's a good reason, if you ask me.
