Can't claim Insider rewards?

Hey guys, yes I know insider is not a support system, I have been here long enough to know. I also have an open ticket with Razer (over a week old) with no reply, so I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue. I am not asking for help, simply sharing my experience and wondering if others have encountered the same thing.

Recently I purchased a backpack with the 15% off code and bought theAndroid cables for the free headset with it, my immediate next purchase was a Razerblade Stealth, but it would not let me use my free headset reward, telling me it was already redeemed - but it never was. On top of that, I now have cables I spent $15 on, for a headset it seems I cannot redeem and I was wondering if anyone else has had something similar to this occur with them? If so, how did Razer support respond and what did they suggest?

Just a little irked I spent over 1400 on items (including the Android cable) and I never got the headset, and on top of that I am afraid if they offer it to me I will still have to pay the shipping that would have been free on either of my other 2 orders. Just curious if any of you have had an experience similar to this.

You bought the Android cable to get your free headset with it and then you tried to use it again with the Razerblade Stealth?

@Robiski I think @Chuemmer is saying he bought the cables at the same time as he purchased the backpack while using the %15 discount code.

That's an interesting problem, and hopefully support can get it sorted for you, as it should be obvious from your order history that you never used the code.

I'm just wondering if you used the 120 post reward before they did the refresh? Maybe that's preventing you from claiming the 120 post reward a second time?

I was definitely able to use the Mobile Kraken code when I ordered by Stealth last week, so it's not a problem associated with the Stealth ordering.

P.S. I wrote this post on my Chromebook, not an Apple product.

No, I bought the cable with the backpack (which I used the 15% off backpacks for). Then I used the free headset with the stealth that I bought, but it said I already used my headset code

You are right in the first line, by far! AND WOOH - NOT APPLE.

Nope as far as the previous 120 goes. On my initial purchase of the Android cable I tried using the free headset and backpack code(the only code that says it is NOT stackable is the $20 - so I figured you could stack insider rewards, but it told me I could only use one at a time, so I happily removed the headset code), then after I attempted to purchase the stealth and use the code (the first time for real, as I never successfully received the headset) it said I already have redeemed this code before. Which - I never did actually redeem. It asked me to remove one of the codes, so I did. Also, I have received both my packages - and neither had the headset either.

hmm maybe you can only use one code per purchase...

But I didn't use any codes as all in purchasing the stealth

Seems like that's not the problem. I just tested the Red Kraken Mobile code and it works even though I have already redeemed the Green pair.

Also, it seems bmoconno is allergic to Windows machines.
This may have triggered a bug. It may have registered your Kraken Mobile code as used during that first purchase. Yeah, I'd get in touch with someone because you deserve a new Kraken Mobile code.

@Raijin I love all OSes equally. I use my Mac and Linux machines for coding, my Chromebook for Internet-ing while I'm not home, and my PC for Gamer-ing! :big_grin_:

Thanks for the information about being able to use the code a second time, it's something I've been wondering and it's good that we can rule it out in @Chuemmer 's case.

I agree that it does seem like the culprit would be that he tried to used the code and it errored out. They probably mark the code as used as soon as it's entered so people can't try to game the system by having two shopping carts opened at the same time and redeeming the code twice.

That seems to be wrong as well, as I have used the 15% off codes as demos to see what an item would cost... unless they are unlimited use.

Also - mac for coding? Weird. Lol Most people use them for video editing

Well, then. I guess we're back to waiting for Razer Support to figure out what the heck is going on.

I guess it depends on how you code? I don't use IDEs very often, I mostly use vim, and since OS X is built off Darwin which is an open source *Nix operating system that combines BSD and NeXTSTEP... I get to do everything natively.

Most coding that I know of is done is Visual Studio - and I mean A LOT. My one professor at the start of the year, every year asks who has an Apple machine so he can help them get windows on it because they just can't handle the same threshold a Windows machine can (e.g. MASMS in Assembly)

That's bonkers. I have a degree in Computer Science and none of my classes ever used windows (or mac), everything we did was on Solaris/Unix type systems. I'd expect that most of my teachers would have considered using an IDE like Visual Studio as "cheating".

I can definitely see how it would be a good way to learn. though. You can focus more on the concepts and less on the syntax. Obviously a lot has changed in the last 10 years... wow, I'm so old now. :sob:

Yeah, times are so much different now... I can't imagine not using an IDE, I would go INSANE

That indeed sounds like a rather unfortunate situation, have you tested if any of your other Insider reward codes work? It doesn't sound like you redeemed the code for the Kraken Mobile (Green) headset that was featured as the Insider Reward prior to the CES appreciation sale, so there should be no conflict there. I hope that support can figure out what exactly happened, as simply entering the code and then removing it shouldn't have registered the code as being used. I was debating which code to use myself for my recent Razer order and definitely switched out the code a few times until I could make a final decision.

P.S. What is a Pikachu.RazerChroma? Is that the name you gave your mouse? :big_grin_:

Like we would ever believe that... You can't fool us, I've secretly caught a glimpse of the device you use for coding. Please see photographic evidence below:

Yeah I am not positive.... and that is the name of my profile for my keyboard! It makes pikachu and when you press the red keys (his cheeks) he shoots lightning bolts!
