Kaby Lake Razer Blade Stealth - Dual Monitors and Charging?

  1. Hey All,

Anyone here find a way to get dual monitors and charging working on a kaby lake razerblade stealth? I tried a plugable triple display docking station but it did not work. It did work on the first gen razerblade stealth's, but it appears the settings have changed.

I am wondering if anybody else has had any luck with other docks? I am hoping razer didn't disable the ability to work with other dock's so they could get more Core sales....

    Thanks!

I would suggest to maybe check with the manufacturer of your dock to see if there is any incompatibility.

If no issue found with them, you can try contacting our support team through http://www.razersupport.com/contact-us.

  3. They have noted that it is incompatible (after I purchased it). They have mentioned that they are trying to reach out to Razer to make the dock work, but Razer has been unresponsive...

I ended up using the Targus Universal USB 3.0 DV2k Docking Station with Power along with the USB Multiplexer Adapter so that the dock can charge the laptop for the RBS. I know that it isn't a TB3 dock but I was worried about spending money on TB3 dock for it to not work because of drivers and etc. I have 2 screens connected to the dock and it works just fine. I also messed with connecting another monitor via the HDMI port and now have 3 screens working along with the laptop screen!

  5. Can you confirm which version of the Razer Blade Stealth you are referring to here? The Kaby Lake version or the older model?

I have a Kaby Lake Stealth and use an Anker USB-C hub that has HDMI output and USB3. The device is charged using PD through the hub. It's this one: http://amzn.eu/i1WbYGQ

Are there any other dual monitor docking station suggestions for the Kaby Lake Razer Blade Stealth? Ideally a USB-C one that will also charge the laptop...

  9. I find this massively frustrating. The whole reason I bought my Kaby Lake RBS was so that I could use it for both work & play and I just assumed it would have the simple feature of being able to connect up to dual monitors. To put it in perspective, I use an ancient Lenovo Thinkpad at work which seems to be able to connect to dual monitors with no drama!

It's good to hear there are some options like the Anker USB-C hub, and I've also seen the JuicedSystems BizHub which is similar, but they both only seem to include one HDMI port which won't help those who are looking for dual monitors. I refuse to accept that the only option is the Razer Core which would cost upwards of $1,000 once you've got a decent graphics card in there, providing you can even get hold of one (I can't as I'm in Australia).

Has anybody had any luck with any other docks/hubs that might allow us to have dual monitors?
