I got this today. It's pretty good but it's heavier than Lancehead.
and it hasn't onboard memory. That is critical miss for "portable" mouse.

Hi! Quick question to ones that own mouse already or to the stuff, is the scroll wheel clickable? Is kind of a deal breaker as i need it to control some of my programs.
    Have a good day!

Yes. There is wheel button as middle-click. but that's not tilt-wheel. only up and down scroll.

I was thinking more about "portable" meaning "you can shove it in your bag to use it with your laptop"; not "you can plug it into a new machine and not have to configure it for that machine".

  6. Is this good in Bluetooth mode?

I'm looking for a Bluetooth mouse for RazerBlade

Synapse 3 can't start with BT connection. but no problem to use except Hypershift function.

I wanted to know if the bluetooth connection works on the ipad (GASP* I know). My school purchased them for every student but the screen protector screws up the touch display. I like the feel of razer mice and wanted to know if i could use it.

I have a new Razer Atheris and using Bluetooth I cannot pair it with my 2017 15" Macbook Pro.
The mouse is recognized but when I click on "pair" it will flicker between connected and not connected, but never permanently connects.
Do other users have the same problems and is there any fix available ?

The 2.4GHz works fine and is very responsive (for my non-gaming purposes ) but, of course the new mac books don't have traditional USB ports, only USB-C, and it would be nice if Bluetooth just worked.

Check to see if your macbook has Bluetooth LE, low energy compliance. The Atheris requires Bt LE so some older macbooks cant pair to it, but yours is newer so shouldnt be an issue. Check with some other bluetooth devices, like your phone if its newer.

This is the same issue that I have with the Bluetooth. 1/2 of the time, I have to forget and re-pair the mouse in order for it to work. This is one of the things that I've been trying to sort out with Razer Support before doing a full review of the Atheris.
Mine is a 2014 MacBook Pro, and has traditional USB ports, and you're right, it's extremely responsive, and works really well. I find it responsive enough for gaming, BUT my keybinds don't stick around when I use the USB dongle (the other issue I want to work out with Support before I post my full thoughts on the mouse).

Synapse 3 only work atm with pc, no Mac yet. And Atheris seems not friendly to Apple;), even on boot camp I cannot use the Bluetooth only with 2,4 dongle. On my Blade Laptops and Xiaomi Air 13, it works perfectly on both mode.
Bluetooh works only with synapse 3, try install it on boot camp, as I said above it’s not Mac compatible software yet.

This is a 2 month old MacBook Pro and it does support Bluetooth LE.

Before you can use Synapse to change your mouse settings and create and store profiles you'll have to be able to pair and connect the mouse through Bluetooth ( or the 2.4 GHz dongle). If that does not work, then Synapse is pretty useless.

And you are correct, on Bootcamp I cannot even get the mouse to be recognized in the Bluetooth settings.
On macOS I can see the mouse and am presented with the button to start pairing but it never really completes the pairing.

I also have a Orochi which does connect through bluetooth on macOS but I find it's performance and responsiveness pretty bad for the CAD work I do and again, in Bootcamp/Win10, which I need to use as there's no professional CAD system available on the Mac platform, I don't even see the Orochi being recognized in the Bluetooth settings.

I had hoped this would improve with the Atheris.

Yeah I figured so but atleast try to pair it with someone else's bluetooth device. Preferably a windows machine or an android phone, to rule out that it isnt something to do with MacOS itself.

You can install Synapse 3 as I said on windows environment (boot camp), not Mac. It stated also on website it doesn’t support Mac yet. You can create and change profile or setting through 2,4 Herz dongle connection, it’s work on my older MacBook Pro.

I have also Orochi, don’t know well about CAD work, I had no lag and responsive issues on Bluetooth in gaming, though on Atheris the response is way smooth due optical i think. And I don’t use also it with my MacBook, for MacBook I’m using old Magic Mouse.

Razer Atheris is a really good mouse, i like the size and shape a lot. I hope it will get the wired version.

Yes it is, but I don’t see the needs of wire on it, it’s mobile mouse and with 2,4 dongle and Bluetooth connection Atheris does his job well, feels like wired for me. If you like the shape and need to be wired there’s Lancehead Te with same sensor, with bigger size though.
