    Vs which 5.1 speakers?
Also if you wait a bit, the Leviathan should go on sale soon. Might make the decision easier.

I'm running a leviathan with my desktop and its awesome. For couch setup though, the lack of remote control will be a slight disadvantage.

    Hi guys, well answering:

I'm gonna be using for everything on my desk
    I have a Creative Inspiron 5300 5.1 Home Theater
My sound card is a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Titanium Pro

ok so there are some pros and cons about the leviathan

    con:
the virtual 5.1 sound is not really a surround sound, so don't expect too much
after ~20 min of not using it turns itself of

    pro:
the sound is overall very good, but I wouldn't say it is much better than other systems in that price range
it looks very good, especially on a razer setup

I see, it's obvious a leviathan would fit perfectly in front of that monitor :D

Honestly I believe a surround headset is more than enough for gaming, so unless you are really a fan of sourrund speakers the leviathan should be ok

Have to agree with this, a nice surround headset will probably work just fine, unless you just want to get the Leviathan on your desk.

If you are referring to audio quality, definitely no. Soundbars shine in other areas (convenience, aesthetics) but don't hold a candle to true 5.1 positional audio.

I don't like the Leviathan because the subwoofer looks funny to me. I also dislike the price point vs other soundbars. But most importantly, no Chroma kills it for me. These are just personal preferences though.

If you want it you may have missed the deal. It was on sale for $130 not too long ago.

I feel like razer doesn't offer enough choice in sound. Just look what kind of system you want. If you want one like the leviathan compare it with other brands simular products

    that's true, for 230 $ / € there are definitely better soundbars

but as you mentioned, there are often deals for the leviathan, on amazon I've often seen it at 140/150, even without any special black friday deal

I've been using it on my desktop for . . . actually I don't remember. Probably over a year now. And it has fairly good sound quality and base thanks to the sub woofer. I like it because it fits under my monitor and takes up less desk space. I was going to use it for my living room, but no remote makes that a real pain in the arse. It's expensive for what you're getting, but if you don't mind the steep price tag then I'd recommend it.

Yeah, they have come down a bit (probably because it wasn't selling well at MSRP).
