Of course there is, both feature 7.1 virtualization, however Man O'War has bigger drivers than Kraken Chroma (50mm), so you will feel different for sure ;)

It's true, the Kraken has 40mm drivers, so there should be some sort of difference. However as far as I read the reviews on insider there doesn't seem to much of a difference.

  4. Have both of these and yes there is difference in sound, the kraken sit tighter and seem to really bloke out any external noise, but the man o war has equalizer so you can really adjust the sound which be found to be great, just be aware the man o war sit a lot loser on your head

the virtual 7.1ch surround sound from both products are coming from Razer's HRTF Engine. so there will not be a significant differences.

This is pretty much the only important differnce between the 2, Full mobility or no battery life worries.

  8. Unless you e got a set of both then I find it hard to understand why your replying on sound, have both sat on desk and there is a noticeable difference in sound, the man o war has equalizer facility via synapse and that makes a huge difference.

I think the kraken should definitely sound better seeing as one is wireless and one is not. The man o war does have a year on it so it may be a close fight. I would like to see a comparison.

  10. Out of the box the kraken has a deeper and more basey sound which is a lot to do with how tight they are and the fact the really cut any background noise out.
The man o war out of the box is very neutral sound but once you've got them set up with synapse and start playing around with the equalizer I believe it's a better sound.
I'm not convinced they got the sizing right though on the whole thing as they have a long extension ability on the phones but don't close small enough(hope that makes sence), I'm finding that they are just slightly pushing tops of my ears down, which after a 6hr session is annoying, the top pad is really thin and could certainly have been 3 times its thickness and would easily cover any head size.

The sound is much deeper on the kraken. That being said they are very uncomfortable in comparison to the manowars.
