Sorry for posting here, there is no category for Razer Synapse Software.

Long story short, recently built a new PC and it was lagging on Numerous games really wierdly... i would launch a game then, after about 5 mins of playing my fps would gradually keep dropping and dropping until it was unplayable. This occured in League Of Legends, CSGO, Overwatch. Furthermore if i go into my desktop when this happens, tabs start freezing and so does the mouse cursor.

I had no clue what it was until i accidentally unplugged my mouse and plugged it back in and magically my fps went back up to normal, and then started dropping. I then closed razer synapse and never had a problem. (I don't think its the mouse lagging, as it perfectly works without the program open)

Also i loaded up GPU-Z while playing CSGO and noticed that whenever i got the FPS Drops/Stutters my Gpu Load would drop to like 0.
I can get footage of this if anyone wants me to.

    PC Specs:
    Asus Hero Maximus VIII
    Evga GTX 1080 FTW
    Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 32gb (2x16) - Wanted 4x8 but apparently doesn't matter
    NZXT S340
    Windows 10
Samsung EVO 850 250 GB SSD
    2TB Hard Drive

    Razer Mamba TE
    Razer Blackwidow Chroma UK
    Razer Kraken 7.1

    Things i've tried:
    formating PC again,

    Anything else i can try?

Currently if i want to play a game, i need to turn the program off, On my old PC i've never had a problem with razer synapse so this is kinda weird.

I've formatted, and nothing changed, still same problem. I think i might switch to Zowie or Steel series. So yeah...

Maybe something in synapse is causing the fps drop. I guess u've fully updated synapse and all ur gear, try to keep trying to update. Maybe see if you switch of data tracking on heat maps maybe trying to track data in game. Well u've got a good set of gear. You could just set what you want and turn off synapse as don't think you will keep going in to synapse to change settings. Then you could save some bucks.

I am doing exactly what you just said pretty much... gets kind of annoying but ye....

Basically, if i never turn it on, i never get the lag. But say i turn it on, and start getting the fps drops. I then need to turn it off and unplug and then replug my mouse for the fps to go back to normal. Very weird problem, but i'm basically doing what Exzero said for the past 2 weeks.

Check for any software updates? Maybe you were previously running windows 7 and now 10? I doubt you're lagging due to synapse, if anything change the priority to low in the task manager.
