Unbind Razer Naga buttons

I just got a new one mouse, the Razer Naga Hex V2, and I don't know how to set it up. I want it so that the side buttons aren't using the keyboard keys, but instead are separate, so that I can set them on their own in WoW without it affecting other keybinds.

I don't want it set to other keyboard buttons, because it could then take away the default bindings that I have.

An example of what I was wanting to do: My old mouse had 4 thumb buttons. Each one was separate. They were all B1-B4, completely separate from anything on my keyboard. If I wanted to use any abilities that were only keybound to those, either I had to click on it, or hit the button, couldn't use the keyboard at all. That's what I want to do.

I do have Synapse, but I'm not seeing any options for what I want to do.

In Synapse, does it should give you a pulldown option for "mouse function" under the "customization" tab. In there, you should be able to set each button to "mouse button 3", "mouse button 4", "mouse button 5", etc. I'm not sure how many options you have in there, but that would be the place to start.

Then in whatever game you're setting it up for, you probably have to assign the different mouse buttons in the game itself.

Other than that, I think the only other way is to get really creative with your keybindings. I don't know what you currently use, but you can set up macros that emulate those multi-key functions (like shift-control-1, or shift-option-1 as opposed to just control-1 or option-1). Set your macro up with no recorded delay.

    Good luck!

I also have had issues with it, with it bound to keys on the number pad (just as a temp fix). For some reason, it likes to default to home, page up, page down, etc just in the middle of my playing. I will go and fix it in Synapse, but it will still be like that. Earlier it just changed all of a sudden back to the number pad instead, but I don't know what keeps causing the switch.

Sorry, I didn't see your reply for some reason. I tried to do that, but I only have 2 for that option, compared to 7 buttons... :slightly_sad:

With the issue of the customisation resetting itself, you're probably best off contacting support.

would also try this, just to see if the program just isn't storyng your custom settings: Customize the buttons you want; wait a couple seconds without touching your mouse; close Synapse; reboot the computer. See if your settings are still there.

For my own curiosity, does it switch profiles on you, or does it just reset the customization for the profile that you're using?
