What do people think of the zSilver raffle idea?
Would you buy tickets on the hope you win or save your silver to redeem for an actual product?

I like the idea, personally, and I'd buy a few tickets, though it might not be the best idea to use all silver on it.
Got my eye on the Ornata Chroma.

I doubt I'll do it since I don't know the odds, if that was shown then I maybe would. But I'm not a gambler anyways so I'd rather know what I'm getting. If you spend 12,000 zSilver and you still have only a 7 in 10,000 chance then that's a waste (to me).

The spinner is sweet though and it's cool to see a new option like this in the zVault.

I had a similar thought, I might buy 1 ticket because beyond that my chances most likely won't grow that much, maybe from 0.0001 to 0.0002, but beyond that I don't see myself buying into it more than maybe once a year or every few months.

I might do it as I am here in Canada, And I have the ZSilver for the thing I do want right now, And since the mug holder is included in this raffle I might do it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.
I know many people will enter the mug raffle, So I might buy a ticket or so in the other ones too just to get my hands on one of the spinners, and an extra travel keyboard or headset to replace my older ones :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:.
I half think they should have changed the raffle cost depending on how much the product costs, and maybe making the mug one the most expensive since it is a super rare razer product worth a lot of money, if you were to sell it if you won it (I would not, But I have seen a couple sold for $500-$1000 CAD.)
I would not count it as gambling as such, as you don't need to use your money to get zsilver, but it is an option out there if you would wish to do it. They also priced the raffle tickets good IMO, and looking at the terms and conditions it seems like you do not have to pay shipping or anything either.

I can only say that is a good thing this "project" isn't available in Europe. At least I am not getting tempted by this gamble.
Maybe I am too careful, but I don't want to spend 12.000 zSilver (or any other number) to try my luck.

It's a great idea. The rewards store needs more zSilver sinks. Everyone hording zSilver for big prizes isn't good for the program long term. People redeeming zSilver always for things that have direct value is also a bad thing. Programs like zSilver requires a long term value to Razer in order to continue. People gambling their points in this way offers a chance at a better reward than you could buy with zSilver at a lower cost for that person, but also removes a lot more zSilver from the system. The reason we can't redeem zSilver right now is because of a rework behind the scenes, of which is a change in Razer Store redemption point values. This is to balance people's earning to redemption ability. More sinks that people take advantage of means that the lower the overall redemptions can be as well as a healthier program overall. 12,000 zSilver really isn't that much. I hope to see more and varied raffles, particularly with more exclusive items like the Razer mug to pull people in.

I'm surprised they still have any mugs left, and that they are getting on the spinner bandwagon so late.

Still, if I was ever going to own a spinner, I'd prefer one of these.

I think those mugs may have been took out of some of the ones they have left over in case of some kind of warranty issue that someone had with it or in case defective units were sent out and such. Something tells me they still have a good many stocked away back there just in case and for future giveaways and such. And who knows, They still might make an odd one of them.

I was pretty curious how they would handle the warranty on them. It's pretty short compared to their other products, so maybe they will do these events as the warranties expire.

Yeah, that seems like it might be what they are doing. They definitely do have some stock of them left if they are giving 3 away, I think the whole point of the warranty on them in the first place was in case of damage during shipping or defective units.
I am also interested to see if the mug holder is going to make it to Synapse 3 or if they are just planning on keeping it to synapse 2. I can see it being annoying when most products people have are on Synapse 3 and then they just have to keep Synapse 2 around for the mug holder.

Bought 1 in the mug category. In the extremely off chance I am selected 3000 zsilver is less than the 100k they originally cost.

Otherwise I'll call it acceptable losses from the zsilver I earned recently from zGold purchases.

Depends on the items they throw out there. For example....if it's a limited time rare promotional like the Razer Mug...i'll throw some of my zSilver at it. But if it's something that regularly available or rather that I already have something for then I most likely won't toss away my zSilver.

I believe the purpose of this raffle is definitely for exclusive item... Because Min Liang stated is hard to give exclusive item through zSilver. By using raffle, this could made it possible... In general, zSilver for Razer peripheral, raffle for exclusive item (by luck). So stay tune!

Don’t like gambling, made me don’t wanna stop and in Germany we have years restrictions;)
Good to know though that they still make Razer mugs holder...
  19. They should add the LE Razer Phone in the raffle and people will be dying for it.
