Using the scroll wheel in macros on an Orbweaver.

  1. So I've been getting some repetitive stress strain from scrolling through documents that I'm editing, and I thought, why not use the Orbweaver as an alternative?
    It's running on Synapse 2.0.
What I've been trying to do is rebind the scroll wheel on my mouse to the keys. While I can bind 08 and 13 (W and S) to scroll wheel up and scroll wheel down, it only performs the function once. In other words I have to hammer the buttons to scroll and that isn't very efficient.
I thought of using a macro that repeats as long as I hold the keys down, but while I can bind all of my mouse buttons in a macro, it won't let me bind the scroll wheel. It also still treats the 08 and 13 keys as their original W and S in the macro despite me having rebound them to the scroll wheel.
Is there a way to do this that I'm missing or is it some software limitation?

Couldn't you program the thumbstick on the Orbweaver to scroll for you in the Configurator? The thumbstick is just as programmable as all the other buttons.

  3. You can, but the issue is that it only counts as one roll of the wheel, so you have to keep hitting it rather than holding it down.
