The faster one is able to type, the more successful one can be in the gaming world?

Need an enthusiastic comment to say to the enemy before your respawn time is up? If so, how efficient are you at it! I average a 90-95 wpm on a line up of 10 consistent tests, however sometimes when i'm insane I get to 120+. Whats your's?

I average between 85 to low 90's. Occasionally I'll be having a bad day, though, and drop down to the 70's. If I take consecutive tests they'll all come out about +-5 wpm of each other.

Pretty sure I'm upwards of 60-80. It just really depends on what I'm doing.

However, back in the 80's at my old vocation school my "data processing" course required me to take a typing class. We were taught on IBM Selectric typewriters with no auto-correct features. They were clunky, but they worked. The class also offered a prize of $100 to anyone had typed a confirmed 100 wpm. I was the only non-secretarial course student win it.

Honestly, I haven't taken a typing speed test for more than 20 years. In Jr. High, I was sitting at low 80s in my typing class (grade 7). I don't think that I've slowed since then ... much.

I average between 110 and 115, but if I take too many typing tests in a row my wrists start to hurt (discovered the pain while playing type racer all lecture long in CS freshman year :wink_: ).

If I'm really ahead in my thoughts, I can get just above 125, and I tend to type real fast in between deaths when gaming. But I don't really think that fast typing gives you any special advantage in actually playing games. If you know where all the keys are without looking at the keyboard, and can move your fingers decently quick, you're set.

This is pretty typical for me. I do have some lazy days, or times where I just don't care enough if I need to make corrections, but for the most part I just type along at a pretty good speed and don't usually have to make hardly any corrections.
