This is not a USB or motherboard problem. It happens to my razer keyboard and mouse at the same time. My Chroma lighting on my keyboard will revert to default color design when it disconnects, and then back to my preferred chroma settings when it reconnects. It disconnects and reconnects every couple of seconds until I reboot. Even if I plug my keyboard and mouse into different pots, the problem persists. I've tried plugging my mouse and keyboard into USB ports that I know don't have a problem, because I have other devices plugged into them that stay connected all the time. However, the problem persists no matter which USB ports I use.
My mouse experiences the exact same problem at the same time, which makes it nearly impossible to use, because when it disconnects, I obviously have no input. It reconnects for a second or 2, but then immediately disconnects again.
I have tried to hard-close the synapse software while it's doing this, but it gets stuck. Even if I close the software when its doing this, it continues doing it until I reboot.
I have my synapse drivers up to date. I downloaded and installed the new Viper Ultimate firmware. Everything is up to date.
Currently using Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2 keyboard, and Viper Ultimate Wireless mouse.
(IMPORTANT) The only way I can avoid this problem is to uninstall synapse completely, rendering most of the features obsolete. I want Razer to be aware of this, because these products are expensive, and most of the features of the products are built into a software bundle that does not work for me. There are other threads on this forum about this exact same problem, that were left open with no resolution from 2021. Razer must be aware of this, if they aren't, I will continue posting about it until they are.
I had no issues with Razer until I had to replace my wired kitty headset with the wireless one. That’s when the disconnecting issues started. I went through back and fourth with support for almost 6 months before they sent me a replacement. I asked if I could upgrade to a wired set at the time, which they were unable to do for me.
The disconnecting would happen and then it would just get stuck in pairing, I would have to exit my game to reconnect my headset. That was super annoying in games like COD! Then when that headset would reconnect, I had the loudest static screaming in my ear, or into my teammates ear. It seems to only get this issue when I play COD, or if synapse is installed.
They sent me a replacement wireless headset and it is still doing the disconnecting. Luckily, this one is no longer making the loud noise when they do reconnect, however I rarely use them anymore due to the stress my old headset caused me.
Now my wireless viper mouse is doing the same disconnect and reconnect thing every two seconds. I think this is worse while gaming than my headset going out and having to close the game to fix it. Now, Even restarting my computer won’t fix it immediately. It needs to be off overnight now when it happens.
After what Razer put me through trying to replace my garbage headset, I am at the point where I would rather but a new device from another company than to deal with their ‘customer service’ again. It’s sad too because I was so excited to get all of the matching quartz razer gear for my PC.
The issue still persists here as well. However in my case it is noticeable only if mouse and keyboard are connected to Blade laptop through an USB hub:
If the problem happens with hub only I wonder about voltage on hub. Does the brand of hub matter, can you attach power plug. Is it only when hub attach to razer laptop.
That just give me more questions does windows log any errors. What is firmware and bios version. Hopefully reported to support with case #.
It happens with an arbitrary USB hub including a cheap UGreean on-powered or with Razor’s Thundorbolt 4 Dock which is powered. Which Windows logs do you mean? BIOS, firmware, Synapse 3, Windoes Updates, Intel, Nvidia - everything is the latest.
The windows error log. Also any bios settings for usb ? I'm wondering if it's the mouse or hub disconnecting. Did you get support case number?
I am wondering if a USB analyzer gave more insights. Has anyone tried such a software before?
No never needed one normally found problem. Before I used one. But did help a few cases detect low voltage. Mostly firmware or adjustments to lift off distance fixed problem. That or low mouse battery.
Had this issue with my Basilisk V2.
Turns out it shipped with a broken cable. That explains why the disconnects only happened during fast-paced usage.
For me, it seems that the power management of the USB electronics is not robust enough. Currently I see the issue very seldom at an acceptable level after:
- removing 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD (I need to see which SSD will work with Blade 16)
- using the short OEM cable (longer active Belkin TB4 cable caused issue only with Blade16, works well with another laptop)
The same issue. My USB dongle of Razer Naga Pro V1 is disconnected instatly after connecting. Every updates of Firmware, Hyperspeed, deleting of Synapse and all drivers (by DriverCleanup) is not working... USBLogView cannot read dongle… Dongle is dead after 2 years using this mouse. I think, should to buy Logitech next time… Thanks for bad expirience...
I had the very same issues with Razer Synapse 4 and my Huntsman V3 Pro keyboard.
On booting the PC, the Synapse software would start then shortly after teh keyboard would disconnect and reconnect.
I solved this by logging out and signing into the Synapse 4 software as a Guest. Rebooted the PC and No disconnects. Imported my saved profiles, rebooted and still OK. Logged back into my account and all is well… No disconnects.
Im a Razer Customer since 5 Days more or less and bevor i thought the worst software has logitech (was my equipment) but i was wrong the most fuckled up software on market is from Razer. I have installed (clean installation) Razer Synapse V3 already 3 times and Razer Synapse V4 5 Times (no joke).
And now i found the best soloution for me, im sending back all al the TRASH Hardware from Razer, deinstall the Software from Hell and going to get a Wooting Keyboard (Razer already copied the features from wooting anyway) i will go to the original.
Good Luck everybody else who will have more nerves than me and keeps his Razer shit hardware.
