Anyone using Cortex, have a issue using Asmedia Sata port? I used Cortex, without any issues, for about 6+ months. All of a sudden I started getting BSOD, on when I launched Cortex. I tried everything, or at-least I thought I did. Took my PC apart for cleaning the other day, and noticed that I had my HDD plugged into the Asmedia ports, I have had some issues before with these ports conflicting with games, so to test my theory I moved all HDD to all my normal Sata ports. Viola no more issues again with Cortex. I added a 4th HDD to my PC a few months, back I guess I had plugged my main one into the Asmedia port without paying attention.

After this I will never use Asmedia Sata ports, this is the third conflict I remember running into using them.

    What was the BSOD message?

Not for sure, I didn't write it down. I remember looking it up, and it was something about Ram, which I knew wasn't correct, considering I tested the whole PC.

Download this program, and it should give you all information about the BSOD that happened and post screenshot of them here, so we know what happened and work our way to fix that issue.

I did all that awhile back, and know one was able to help. They thought it was synapse, but it wasn't. It's fixed now, just letting others know that may be using Asmedia.

Welp, then it wasn't an issue with Cortex, but with the Asmedia then.
