  1. Hey!

I just recently joined Razer: got myself the awesome Blackwidow X Chroma and I'm quite happy with it! I bet this has been asked before, but I couldn't find any specific post about it, so I hope you don't mind answering this again.

I've been playing around with macros and I was wondering if you can alter the behavior of a base key using the fn key as if it were one of the built in multimedia keys. For example: you can press fn+f6 to play/pause. That's done, but pressing fn+g or any other key doesn't produce any result. I'd like to have some keys execute a macro or a command when pressed together with the fn key without interfering with the built in function of the keyboard. Say, just g is g but fn+g executes a macro. Is this somehow possible?

I hope I managed to make myself clear hehe. Thanks for the help and game on!

Sadly the fn key is not programmable.
Nor are key combinations to activate macros.

For more advanced functionality, I suggest you look up Autohotkey.
  3. I thought so, thanks for the help anyway.

Autohotkey looks great, but it would be awesome to be able to program the fn key with other combinations as an extra modifier. Just a thought for the devs, if they read this thread :)

    Welcome to Insider liante!

You can submit a suggestion to Razer by opening Synapse, clicking the cog icon, and choosing "Submit Feedback." Select "Feature Request" for the feedback type.

    Cheers :beers:!
