How else would you improve Razer Cortex - bugs, features, anything!

  1. I would like to see some extra feature to allow using zSilver to pay for shipping too (as example: Razer Kraken 7.1 v2 - 130 thousand zSilver, Razer Kraken 7.1 v2 + free shipping to (insert country here) - 160 thousand zSilver

It would allow us poor people to truly get free Razer stuff ;)

Not sure if this is actually Cortex related suggestion but it's paid-to-play related.

First of all, I don't want this to sound like complaining, I really love that p2p feature and really, really appreciate you guys for allowing that kind of stuff to (us) poor gamers.

But I personally am one of those people who are easily triggered/bored to death by toxicity in multiplayer games. So seeing a one ore few additional p2p-games to be voted each month (single player/co-op/story ones).
I just throw out something (for reasons ;P) i.e: Ghost Recon Wildlands, the Division. Not probably two of the most played ones around the world but imo they have replay value

  3. It may seem trivial to some, but perhaps a way to integrate game time tracked from Raptr.

I personally haven't used Raptr for a couple of years. I stopped using it due to the automatic push of installing play.tv without your permission on every update Raptr released and defaulting play.tv to run when you launched a game.

That left me with Steam to track any Steam games I play, but nothing to track non-Steam games. I've got hundreds of physical copies of games I still play from time to time and no real way to track game time. Last time I linked a shortcut through the Steam program to a non-Steam game, it only told me the last time I played the game and didn't actually track the time I played.

I recently came across Cortex and so far it's a pretty slick program. I then found out that Raptr is closing at the end of this month (9/30/17). Raptr has provided a way for people that use it to export their gameplay date to a .json file you can save or copy to notepad. I'm kind of a stickler for numbers and data and would love a single place to keep track off all my game time data.

Would it be possible to allow people to import their game play data to Cortex?

Cortex actual main function is to boost your game and to find the best deal to purchase. I think the one to track how you play your game is using synapse.(your mouse movement and etc..)

well. If I'm not wrong Cortex saves your play time for games that you have listed in your Cortex.

  6. Any game you launch through Cortex, it tracks the time played. For example, I hopped into a few ARAM sessions of LoL and having it been the first time I ran the game through Cortex, when I click on "View Dashboard" under the Play button for LoL it shows I've played 48 minutes.

Or the fact that I spent a large amount of time in the past 36 hours playing Tom Clancy's The Division (played it 9.5 hours) since it's been a Free to Play weekend on Uplay and I don't actually own a copy of the game. So, I sunk a good bit of time into it to check it out.

Sometimes when I go on Razer Cortex I don’t get my Zsilver that only happens occasionally.

I think a problem these days is we have an app for everything. We have Battlenet, Steam, Gog, Nvidia, Cortex, Synapse etc etc

I think if you could make synapse & cortex into the one program that would seem a pretty good way on getting people on board, if they have razer gear they'd have synapse already and it would show those without razer gear all the cool things you can do once you've gained enough zsilver to buy some products!

  9. I absolutely detested the Synapse software. A handful of issues plagued me with the software. I wouldn't want to see Synapse and Cortex combined. I keep the Synapse software uninstalled for a reason and I have no intention to install it again. While some people are clearly in the like for having the two combined, I personally don't want to see that happen and it would be a deal breaker for me with using the Cortex software.

Don't know if something similliar was suggested, but here is my idea:
When earning zSilver (when in game) change the appearance of Cortex icon in Notification area in Taskbar (for Windows). That way user can be sure that:
    • game he is in is on this month's list of chosen games for earning zSilver (when in game)
    • earning zSilver is working as expected (for those who have problem with zSilver)
    • in addition, user can easily see if he earned maximum zSilver for current day
    Thoughts?

reaction time of navigating between pages inside cortex needs a serious upgrade!
Users (including me) are spoiled and expect near instant transition between pages.
I find myself very annoyed by things like having to wait for around 20 seconds or more for a new page to appear ( no figure of speech I actually timed this a bunch of time while writing this comment)
it's the sole reason I find it a very unpleasant program to use.

You should make it easier to view your zsilver balance in the menu!

I would like to know why it would need and admin password to open. Is it because it modifies game files? I cant open it because my parents won't lift Microsoft Family restrictions...

It doesn't modify any game files. I think that's a Razer Booster requirement - because it's stopping some unnecessary system services. Unfortunatelly you cannot turn off booster in cortex.

It's on my personal wishlist - that we can choose if we want booster turned on or off (globally or per game). We'll see... maybe someday :)

You sure that's cortex? Sounds more like the RAZER Central's startup page. Right click on the icon in the bottom right and click on cortex directly, or reinstall it.

Razer central keeps coming up, I want the cortex to come up and the only way it works is if i exit all apps and then open it up again... This is frustrating!

Kinda the same for me, but you right click the icon and click on the cortex logo. that is how I do it. DONT only left click the logo, because it is the icon showing razer central is open, you have to right click it.
