Using Razor Black Widow Ultimate Keyboard.

Im trying to get say the V key to stay in game its constantly pressed.
Sounds easy right....maybe it is but I'm having a heck of a time.

Any Help would be fantastic I just bet its something simple. LOL

Thanks in advance for any input?

I thought there was an option in Synapse to toggle a macro on or off. Isn't there?

If not, then 2 separate macros might do it. You know how it records a key being released when you go to record a key combination/macro? Just go in and click on the key release and then click on the trash icon to delete that line. Do the same with any timings related to the release. If there's an option to toggle the macro on or off, then you might not need the next paragraph.

To turn the key press off, record the same key press (with release), and do the same steps as above. This time, delete the actual key press line, leaving only the release of the key for that macro.

I haven't actually tried this, but I think that it should work. If the computer sees a key press, but not a release, then it should think that the key is still being pressed.

I wasn't really awake when I wrote the stuff above. You shouldn't have to create an "off" macro (or do the toggle, for that matter). If it works the way I'm thinking, the first macro, without the release, should turn the key press on and keep it on. If you want to stop it, just push the actual key that the macro is referring, and the release of that key should turn it off.

I'll give it a try as soon as I get situated on the train, and let you know if it worked for me.

    **Edit 2**

Haha. I should have checked first. Like I said, I wasn't really awake. It doesn't let you just delete a key release. I'll test more.

I use Voice Attack (along with HCS Voicepacks) to do just that in MWO and Elite Dangerous. Works really well, you can control it with your voice, and even choose the command. The only downside is when your teammates ask you what you mean by, "Moya, show battlegrid" ;)

Ok, I didn't want to just add on to my first response, but I've got something worked out and tested.

It all depends on how long you want the key held down for.
    1. Set the default delay before you record the macro. The maximum is 999 seconds, but that is more than 16 1/2 minutes.
    2. Press and release the key. It automatically sets the delay for the key release.
    3. Assign macro to macro key / mouse button of your choosing.
    4. Set to "play once".
When you're in whatever game you want to use the macro, pushing the macro key / mouse button that you've chosen will start the macro, which will then hold down the key for however long you set the delay.

To disengage the macro, just press the original key (not the macro key / mouse button).

Hey folks thanks for all the valuable input!

Iconcrow I will give yours a try bit later I like the voice Idea for sure.

I managed to get a macro going.
I opened synapse and with the mouse click over the m1 in the keyboard layout on screen then I had a drop box for instant macros I chose ~Toggle continuous playback on/off using keyboard key V.....

So nice have not tested it in game but I opened note-pad and toggled using m1...means macro 1 I guess but in note-pad the V did this VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV constant key V is pressed ....nice but I have to see how this works in game...may need a delay not sure but right now I have a macro I can toggle using Left side M1 to M5 keys on the left of the keyboard. (Black Widow Ultimate) nicest keyboard I've ever ever owned....!!!!

Let you know how it goes in game.....trying to leave melee attack on constantly.

Check back soon folks with yes or no working in game.

just make a macro and press the key once, then set the delay between the key pressed down and lifting up to like a thousand seconds then set it to toggle

    Hi killaKook

This is what I tried but to no avail.
Did in the macro tab up top synapse.
    See attached image.

Here is the second image with macro that does work.
Notice the M1 key is green in synapse to the left.
Macro done in the keyboard tap top synapse section.

Id like to make a macro in the Macro tab but no go?
    Tried several times.....:frown_:

Again Ladies and Gents Thanks for all the input.
I got one macro going just want to get the other going in synapse macro tab.

Yes got it going with delay now I just have to see which delay works best or how much delay NP.
I ran into another problem but its a Microsoft one.
I see in synapse I can attach my macro to a .exe game file, Auto launch the macro.
Cannot find the exe file yet for the app ...must read.o_O
One thing leads into another LOL

But yes to answer your question.
Yes. Just delay fine tuning now.

Thanks for the help pointing me in the right direction.

It's mind boggling that razer has not added an option to add toggle. they have options for everything else.
