  1. Control is more important, it's better to be able to click correctly the first time rather than misclick a couple times due to speed.

Used to have a few of the hard mats in speed and control, but eventually switched to the largest Goliathus Control. Using a tenkeyless and a Deathadder, so there's plenty of space and no more need for a wrist rest either. Was skeptical at first of the soft mat, but haven't looked back since.

i've tried both, but i personally like the speed. I've been a cloth mousepad guy all my life and while the control is cloth i can't get used to the texture.

i've just purchased a control edition and it has improved my CS:GO gameplay significantly, haven't tried speed but it sounds good too. extreme precision, really impressed by the product!

  13. fast mousepad, lower sensitivity. I use about 1600 DPI. I have never had a control mousepad before.

I read somewhere that control edition mousemats wear off faster and more easily than the speed edition.

I currently am still using my rather old Razer battlefield3 Scarab. but i still dont really know what you would class this as. but i do much rather hard mousematts over softs for sure now.
does seem to degrade the mouse feet a little faster though i notice.

I used the legacy 1800 dpi Deathadder with a Goliathus Control.
    I liked it.
Then I tried a Goliathus Speed. I liked it a lot more.

Just bought a new DA Chroma and a new Goliathus Speed.
For now I'll stay at 1800dpi.
I'm using a fingertip grip and I can cover my screen without lifting my wrist.

I would say control because speed is not THAT useful for me controls is probably more useful.
