I asked myself that, cause i can't see any possible way to open it without breaking it. Tho i think it's one time use until the battery is off.

there should just be something for the battery like a usb or a small battery socket on the bottom to charge it up because what is its use of it if the battery dies out

I just took mine apart today and changed the battery. It uses a single CR2032 (3V) coin cell. The switch is soldered to two small PCB's underneath, so you won't be able to separate it at the switch, you have to take the top plate off of the boxy bottom.

To start, I took off the keycap to avoid marring it, and removed the keychain lanyard. Then I used a small flat head screwdriver (you want one wide enough to be able to pry the plastic by twisting and not mar the soft material) and jammed it into the thin slot on the side where the insulating strip was, which you had to pull out when you got the device. Then I pried towards the edge opposite of the lanyard hole first, then popped the whole thing out. You will mar the lip of the case ever so slightly; it'll be ok. Then you can just swap for a new battery. The old one has an insulating sticker on it which does not need to be transferred onto the new battery. It is designed to make the insulating strip function, but since you already removed that you don't need the sticker anymore.
