Razer ManO'War 7.1 Gaming Headset

    they're great until your charging port dies after 2 years of use and they're out of warranty so bye bye perfectly good working headphones :'( rip my man o wars. Be warned!!

    samee do you know how to get a replacement?

    Mine died perfectly one year after I bought it.
    Got the time to contact the Razer Support, they gave me a Voucher equal to the price my ManO'War Wireless, so I could buy the Tiamat 7.1V2

    Dunno about the guy you're asking directly but I've had mine since May and they're still great. Unless you're throwing your headsets around and not being careful with them, I'd recommend these without hesitation.

    Wow. I bought my headset back in July and the headband already broke from light use. These are the V2 headbands too with the slightly thicker connections.

    Razr needs to build a REAL fix to these. I'm wondering if it even worth RMAing it at this point given the cost of shipping it to them and having it gone. There are 3rd party parts that can be 3d printed to fix the issue since it's so prevalent. RAZR should offer something similar that reinforces the connection

    Got a replacement. Customer service guy lied and said they improved the design. What a load of BS

    You can fix it by reading thru this thread here started by @Razer|Technokat Razer's webmaster. It's a pretty quick read and a link is provided. I thought it was going to be hard to do but it was actually pretty simple. It would only take a couple of minutes of your time.

    I really wanted to get these because of chroma. Wish the Thresher had Chroma!

    Just get the thresher. RGB is pointless on headsets anyway. your headband breaking after 3 months is a biggetr PITA

    If your headband breaks and customer support tries to convince you that they've re-done the design don't believe them. i got a replacement and it is the exact same

    I got a similar story from customer service. My center section headband broke while the product was under warranty. I was told that they had improved the design of that section. After nearly two months of working with customer service and them having no replacement stock I received a "new" version. I did not see any difference in the design with the set I received. Tonight, while watching YouTube (and 2 weeks after the warranty expired) the headset headband broke in the exact same way.

    Overall the headset is great, this one design flaw spoils an otherwise great product but it is hard to recommend with such a weak point of failure and a common one at that.

    Has anyone had an issue with the headset just powering off randomly, even when you are halfway through a sentence? Other than that I love the headset and I've had it for a year with no headband breakage (yet...) but this powering off issue is really getting on my ... nerves

    This used to happen to me when I used it as a mic only and had the audio come through the speakers. If it's not being used both ways it turns off every ten minutes. If you are and it's still doing it that's totally different.

    I only have comms going through it at the moment but that is both direction, just not constant but it has turned off mid sentence a few times which is frustrating.

    I know a lot of people always say the headband was the worst part.....and true mine broke after a few weeks, but on top of that, the rest just fell apart. Parts starting breaking off, and at this point, one of the headphone sides (whatever you'd call them) are hanging off... I'm pretty sure I took good care of it, but either my head was too big or I don't know how to use headphones, I guess
