Razer ManO'War 7.1 Gaming Headset

Just some feedback on the Ear Cups.
Rounded Ear cups are not as comfortable as those found on Tiamat (Rectangular shaped)

And those ear cup covers.. could use some genuine leather for that luxury feel and comfort..

 

Anyone know when this is hitting all local retail stores?

Pretty sure hardcore gamers do 4+ hours a day, but why not charge it overnight ?

They look nice, but I'll wait for some reviews before I decide if I want to drop that much cash on them.

Nice feature set though, I'm just always hesitant to buy new products without knowing how good they actually function.

Looks like many Best Buy stores put them out on shelves immediately upon receiving the shipment until waiting for the actual launch dates. (same thing happened with the original legacy version 1.0 of the Nabu band in December of 2014)

I think the TV in my bedroom might actually have a USB port on the side to allow plugging in USB drives and the like, I wonder if that would also allow me to use this headset so I could watch TV on the "real" TV and not have to use my laptop / tablet and still be quiet while @sirjarren is sleeping beside me. hehehe

Your TV may be special (all the different brands and models of smart TVs are different), but for the most part, this is unlikely to work. Unlike general purpose PCs and MACs, where we're an internet connection and a Windows Update/etc. driver away, smart TVs usually only support certain device classes, like thumb drives.

This thing needs (and wants) to be a part of my setup

 

Some of you folks that grabbed them from Best Buy need to give us quick takes on them.

I'm honestly struggling deciding between this headset and the Steel Series Siberia 800. About $100 price difference.

It appears one difference might be plug and play. The Man O' War advertises plug and play on the PC and PS4. The Steel Series looks as if you have to go through a setup process on all the systems. Is this right?

This looks freaking amazing! I can't wait for it. The earcups looks especially good. I expect this to be a worthy competitor to the HyperX Cloud's. Only wireless! They look freaking amazing and I hope the sound with them matches their looks. Great job Razer. I might have to pick these up. One thing that I love about Razer: Their stuff is always super badass regardless of how good it is. So good or not I will buy this even if I have to sell my family for it (not literally) Also Razer if you are seeing this please make the orange a bit better on it. Most of the chroma products are lacking a good orange and it just comes out as a mushy brown color instead of a vibrant bright orange color.
