    Well in regards to the ruggedness vs skin irritation.
    The inside can be made from hypo-allergenic substance but the outer shell should have been better.

    Haven't bought a nabu yet but perhaps they could have gone with a better solution then the rubber sides to protect the top glass and button.
    The rubbers at the side of the screen are to thin to resist wrist friction.
    And idea ex. create a top screen following the rubber band. "replaceable" with more durable screen covers. Asking for a bigger prize in their store according to the durability.

    This way it would have been more solid where it contacts the desk and still be durable for a "probably" cheap adjustment.
    It would have also been best if the button was on the side of the band so the button doesn't suffer instead. Maybe even on the top. So when you look at the screen you push at the other side of the band to switch the view.

    Also, the promised CS update. They just answered my ticket and asked for pictures and said that it might need exchanged. Stay tuned.

    I've got a nabu under the tree. I have been very excited about getting this but after reading all these comments I'm more than a little concerned. If just everyday use is doing that to the band I winder if I should even wear it. I hope if they mess up like thus that they will correct the problem.

    Glad to see that there are people who have had a good experience speaking out along with Razer getting on top of things. Now to prepare for wave 2.

    Not that I did not expect it, but I'm glad to see a reply from the CMs.

    A lot of good ideas here about why the bands might be a bit fragile. I'm curious to see if that is a hit and miss or if most users are having this issue.

    About the Razer employees who are using them, have any of you been having these issues? ;-)

    It also sounds like for those who are having this issue or a battery issue can solve their problem by removing and charging the Nabu while gaming. Easy enough for a product built "For Gamers. By Gamers.".
  7. Before this thread I was 100% sure to buy it but now I am 100% sure I will not spend any amount of money in a thing like this

    Because 4-10/5000 have complains about the build quality you are not buying this product? Doesn't seem a valid reason to me...

  9. It is week 2 of usage, the number of cases will grow with time and there is not yet an official response to the issue

    Does not look very appealing to me

    Plus not everyone having trouble creates a thread on razer insider

    No they didn't, A razer employee merged the threads, we didn't hijack it.

    I spoke to some people that own the Nabu and they didnt had any complains about the build quality (yet). Scratches dont come by them selve ...

    After going through all the replies from me in this thread, it seems you are right. @Razer|Technokat : Since you have merged few threads in here I think you should consider changing its name as well.

    Check again, there was an official response on here from a Razer employee.

    If it doesnt appeal to you, more power to you. Don't get one. Leaves more for people that do want one.

    If everyone that has a problem is not commenting on Razer Insider then that is a user problem. They very specifically on released them to Razer Insider members who had shown basic understanding of how to post a reply/thread. If those people choose not to post then they have no right to complain. This is about making the product better. Again, nobody is twisting your arm to get one.

    Scratches shouldn't be on a scratch proof product after a week of usage in the first place.

    I have been silently watching this thread the last couple days, but until now have refrained from contributing. While conceptually I love my Nabu, the hardware itself is certainly not robust. The rubber material simply does not stand up to daily use. Here is a couple pictures of my 2nd Nabu (I've had it for 3 days now):



    While the rubber isn't as bad as some other users', I have to restate that this is my second one. My first was RMAed (for a different issue). I had been using that one for 3-4 days before I shipped it in and the rubber was already worse than the one I have now. I have been extra careful with this 2nd one, but I'm already starting to see unusual wear. I even stopped wearing it at night (unfortunately sacrificing the sleep tracking function) in order to make sure I wasn't moving around and damaging the rubber in my sleep. If this is an isolated issue, I guess I've been unfortunate to have two "bad ones." Razer, please bite the bullet and change the material before mass release...

    Is there any down fall to wearing the Nabu screen side up to prevent the "rubbing" due to it being on the underside of the wrist? With it on the top of the wrist (outward facing) would it be more prone to being banged on? What is the better of 2 evils here...

    The beta users sent in plenty of complaints and were told that the material would change in the full release.

    Now, I work with my hands all day. I am constantly moving around. Like others who have gotten dings and marks on their nabu, I have as well. However, mine has gone beyond that as well. My screen is dead.

    When I received it, everything was golden, but after just a few days the screen started acting up. Half the screen would be white, with letters and numbers overlapping and jumbled. This went away for a bit, so I thought nothing much of it, but it came back with a vengeance. First, the screen appeared completely dead for a day or so, but then it came back, extremely dim. Then it started the jumbled, overlapping digits again, and now it is dead, completely. It still connects to my phone, and it still vibrates to notifications, but the screen simply won't work.

    Like I said, I work with my hands all day long, but I am not overly rough or violent on the nabu. To compare, I have had this watch for little over a month, and it is completely flawless still, while this nabu of just a week is now little more than a fashion statement. I would have expected much better quality than this.
