Synapse 2 and Aorus Mouse Software Conflict

Discussion in 'Razer Support' started by BistreBrownnexuspoly918, Dec 7, 2018 at 5:36 PM.

  1. Edit: Aorus Macro Engine basically is the software that handles the mouse setting as well. eg dpi, illumination and behaviour

I have a razer orbweaver chroma and a gigabyte aorus thunder m7.

When I install synapse 2 it effectively stops aorus macro engine from detecting my mouse in the macro engine software.

I discovered this when I refreshed my computer software. After reinstalling all drivers for all devices I noticed this issue. To test this I uninstalled all drivers I had installed since refresh with the last being synapse, with no result. To test to see what was causing this issue I reinstalled windows and installed the mouse first then synapse and as soon as the synapse rebooted the macro engine stopped detecting. Even uninstalling synapse 2 gave the same result. Dedicated to the effort I uninstalled aorus macro engine and reinstalled it with the same result, no detection.

My current theory is that when you install the synapse software it must install something that disrupts the software for the device which an uninstall and reinstall can not fix. I tried multiple times and more and 4 windows reinstalls to verify this issue and it still occurs.

I love the design of this mouse and wish to use both.

Has anyone else had this issue and, or have a solution to this problem?

Hello there. Let me help you with this. Just to clarify, have you tried to change ports? Also, is your mouse still being recognized by the device manager although it is not recognized by software? Let me know.

  3. Thank you for your response. Yes I have tried changing ports with both devices in multiple orders using usb 2.0 and 3.0 the device is still listed in device manager. It only stops detecting in the aorus software after the installation of the synapse software and reboot.
