System animations laggy with Razer Core + RBS

  1. Hey guys,

Just got my Razer Core and 1070 setup and have been using it for a couple of days. Things work great for the most part but I noticed that certain apps/system animations lagged a lot.

My assumption is that those animations are being run on my integrated graphics and sent through the TB3 to the Core to which my monitor is plugged in.

First, does anyone have any better ideas on what could be happening? Also, is there any reason I shouldn't just fully disable the onboard graphics and rely only on the 1070?

Note: I have already sent the global preference to my 1070 through the Nvidia Control Panel and my drivers for intel, nvidia, and synapse are all up to date.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

I was experiencing bad lagging issues. I found that upgrading to the latest windows 10 insider build + latest nvidia drivers solved my issues 99% of the time. If I hibernate the RBS and then connect to core and turn on, I can get lagging again and logging out/logging back in fixes it.

I think its to do with the windows desktop manager service responsible for aero. Before upgrading to the insider builds, there was workarounds that could be done logging out and back in, for me i could toggle enabling 3d and disabling it again but seemed to only work for about 15 mins.

I found mirroring the display then turning it back to "external only" worked
