    So I like to do quite a bit of shopping online, mostly because quite a lot of the stuff I'd like to purchase is out of reach for me physically or they are from a non brick and mortar type shop/service/whatever. Over the past year I've been getting random stuff a long with my orders i.e. a scarf that I didn't order, a 2x of a hoodie I did order even though I was only charged once. I'd always contact the vendor in regards to returning them but they've pretty much always let me keep the extra stuff.

    Which leads me to the present day, recently I put in an order for the Razer Blade 14 (2015) QHD+. I was very excited, been thinking about it for quite some time and because I'm living in Japan and the only systems I could purchase from the Japanese/Asia Pacific store was one with a Japanese Keyboard Layout (Which is horrible btw) I then decided I'd purchase it from the US store. As some of you may already know Razer only allows payment and shipping within their regional store coverage. Since I no longer have a permanent address or a Credit Card in the States anymore, this is a bit of a problem. However my uncle who does still live in the states offered to help me with this.

    So while on the phone with him I made my purchase and was pretty excited about it. Then I thought to myself "You know what... I'll grab myself a Tactical Backpack and a Sleeve too" since the ones I'm using now is for the bulky MSI-GS70. So I went back to the online store and then I saw it.... The CHROMAGAMING promotion where you'd receive some Chroma gear with purchases of a Razer Blade QHD+. My face turned pale, and soaking with sweat I frantically tried to contact Razerstore Support.

    I told them my situation, about how I didn't see the Promotion banner and how I forgot the check if there were any promotions going on. And since the whole e-maling back and forth took about 2-3 days (Office hours and time zone difference among other things to blame possibly) my order had already been shipped and thus I was unable to cancel my order and re-order with the promotion code.

    Now the regret of not being able to receive the Chroma gear package thingy was rather immense. However it was not as painful as the thought of not being able to receive free stuff along with a great purchase. You see, my family... we've always been the type to go out of our way to get free bonuses with our purchases. My mom finally decided to buy a new car to replace her old one because she saw that there was a promotion going on where she'd receive two tickets to an André Rieu concert. My cousin would order too much pizza just to receive an little discount. And the list goes on.

    So the moral of the story is... don't get too excited when you purchase something. Try to remain calm so that you don't miss any details.

    TL;DR Don't be an idiot like me ;(

    Thanks for sharing your experiences and kind words guys and gals.

    A couple of days ago I received an e-mail reply from support and am now in the process of getting the first Blade refunded. They've been flooded with traffic lately as many of you may know, I've actually been in contact with them since before I started the thread.

    So yeah, all is well now so to speak... Still not in the clear yet since I can't feel totally at ease until the refund process is complete.

    I read that whole thing and just cringed. It's totally the story of my life as well. I am so sorry you missed out on the promotion.
    When someone else orders for you, it's just so much hassle to have them return things or make changes for you.
    It's already too late now, I just hope you make the best out of the blade and other products you ordered :big_grin_:

    He already paid for it, right? If he just denies it at the door, who knows if he'll get his men back. Also he won't necessarily take it at the door, the postman might just drop it off :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    Dang, it sucks that no one from Razer support was able to offer your the promotion anyways. Seems like the type of company that would.

    Isn't there usually a return period? Just return it right away and reorder.

    What did the support say? imo they shud let you pay the shipping and get the extra atuff.

    Ah, my condolences, that CHROMAGAMING is a pretty sweet add-on. An important part of buying things online is to always check for the best possible deal - use a price comparison browser extension (PriceBlink), check multiple ecommerce sites and sellers (Amazon, eBay), browse coupon and deals sites (RetailMeNot, Slickdeals), and be sure to check every inch of a vendor's website for codes/deals. Do this for every single item you purchase.

    I know the feeling on missing out on a big online purchase opportunity. I've missed out on $400+ profit deals as well and it is mortifying and I beat myself up about them for a while. But trust me, by the time you score your next good deal, you will have forgotten about it already :)

    Missed out on buying 980 from microcenter a while back cheap and it was on a day I had off from work too. Just forgot to check an e-mail my friend sent me. Sucked but thats the name of the game. Just gotta keep an eye out for those the deals.

    I feel your pain, I didn't notice that I could have received a Nabu X with my Blackwidow Chroma. I may not have worn it much, but hey, a free peripheral is a free peripheral. It looks interesting and would spark up conversation about Razer products.

    Now, I can't speak for Razer support, as I'm not affiliated with them. But, being in this line of work I'd recommend that you explain the situation to Razer support, and ask them what the terms and conditions are with their return policy. You might have to deal with a little bit of inconvenience of returning the item, waiting for a refund and reordering, but it would be time well spent to make use of such a large promotion. I mean, the worst that can happen is the promo ends, and you just have to reorder the laptop that you purchased anyway, and you lose out on a week or so of using it.

    Ouch... I heard so many people complaining about missing out on the CES sale, but the pain is real for this one. Regardless, I hope you are satisfied with your Razer Blade. At least you know you got an amazing machine. And perhaps next time you will remember this experience and find another useful promotion. Consider this a worthy sacrifice and learning lesson for all of your future online shopping, especially with Razer :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

    It was like $236 for a 980 super cheap. Wish I could of picked up that deal. Im happy with my setup right now though but still would of made a nice upgrade.

    Am I the only one stuck on the fact that his mother nonchalantly bought a car to get two concert tickets?

    So as long as you get something for free with the purchase it's a worthy investment? I am all for bonus swag, but I wouldn't make a major decision such as that because of some concert tickets!

    This is how I imagine a typical conversation at audigy1's home:

    audigy1: "Hey dad, is that a new boat in the driveway?"
    Dad: "Yes son, it came with a free 2-topping pizza"
    audigy1: "Sweeeeeeeet, totally worth it!"

    On a more serious note, it's a real shame that you weren't able to take advantage of the chroma bundle promotion for the Razer Blade.

  20. Oh, that's got to suck. I actually had a similar predicament one time, when an ebay listing for the item I purchased was posted closer, and roughly $40 cheaper.
