Hey guys, I'm planning on purchasing my first mechanical keyboard and I think I've settled on getting a Razer one as a lot of my friends have recommended their keyboards. I'm not an expert when it comes to mechanical keyboards as I've never used them before (I've only used laptops), so I was really confused and unsure where to start when I saw how many different options thereAppvnwere available. Currently I'm looking at the Razer BlackWidow Elite, Razer BlackWidow Chroma V2, and the Razer Huntsman/Huntsman Elite, but I don't know how they compare relatively to each other. If you could rank these keyboards, which one would you say is the best? Is the Huntsman line the top of the pack for Razer keyboards? I mainly game and do web-browsing/media consumption, and being a laptop user I suppose ISHAREit don't really get the craze around click noises and actuation times. Also if anyone has recommendations for specific switch types/colours I'd really appreciate that as well!

Hi, I've only had the keyboard and mouse for about 2 weeks and its been great. The last couple of days the keyboard has been disconnecting and is gradually doing it more and more. I've checked the firmware is up to date,reset it and hard reset the xbox. I've changed usb ports aswell on the xbox and there's nothing else on the 2.4Ghz network that could cause interference and i'm about 2.5m fro the console in direct line of sight. Any thoughts?????

I have a Razer Huntsman Mini that I'm using both on Windows and Linux. Since there's no Linux support, I was expecting that I could program an on-board profile on Windows and use that on Linux, but I don't know how to activate it. On Windows Synapse, I've done a few minor customizations (mapped the right alt as hypershift button and a few macros for buttons not used in Hypershfit mode) and I have stored these into the 'red' on-board memory. When I boot Windows, Synapse starts and everything is fine, but on Linux, I just get the default behavior. Is there a key-combination I need to press to activate the profile? BTW: I've read that you need Synapse for some fo the lighthing, but I'm not interested in that, I do want the keyboard customization though.

Huntsman mini U key has not been lighting properly since purchase, however when Synapse is turned off, or temporarily after a firmware update it works and lights with the rest of the keys, then after a restart it's back to only lighting white while the rest of the keys are colored and performing effects. I've fiddled around allot with the effects styles and colors, but to no avail. I've reinstalled the software, and updated the firmware twice now. Is there any further troubleshooting I can do, or even possibly a setting I may have missed? Thankyou for your time.

Hello all. I really want to get a mercury/white keyboard but for some reason the one I want doesn’t come in Mercury – The Huntsman elite so I need to look elsewhere. I want a silent key press so no greens or purples but would be happy with either mechanical or optical. My current thoughts are either the Huntsman Mini - Linear Optical Switch – Mercury or the Huntsman Elite - Linear Optical Switch with Mercury PBT caps. Obviously I know the differences between a 60% and a full size and would lean towards a full size given the choice but I’m not sure I’m sold on the black base with white keys. Has anyone added white caps to their Huntsman Elite and have any good images or anyone else recommend one over the other? Thank you.

Hello. Trying to assign either Switch Keymap or Switch Profile to Hyperesponse Thumb Key. When pressing Hyperesponse Thumb Key the button won't cycle correctly. It either skips profiles or stick with the only one. I am trying to switch between 2 keymaps and when I press Hyperesponse Thumb Key the command switches to Keymap 2 and when I press it again it may not change it back to Keymap 1. I may need to press it 2-4 time till it switches back to Keymap 2. How can I make it work correctly so it switches between either 2 profiles or Keymaps with only one keypress? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to figure out if it is possible to remap the capslock key as the fn key so I can use the arrow jikl buttons more easily instead of awkwardly having to reach down to the actual physical fn key. I am using the Synapse software and I do not see the key available to bind the capslock key to fn. Any help would be appreciated otherwise I am going to have to sell this board and go get a ducky one 2 mecha mini as this can be done on those boards using their onboard macro system!

Hello, I'm wondering if anyone has seen the issue where the PC is turned off but my Razer Pro Type keyboard stays on. I have the Synapse software set to turn off lighting after idle for 15 min. The keyboard was on all night. I'm using the USB dongle connection. Anyone else experience something like this? Thanks in advance.

Hi, This is to the Razer staffer responsible for not allowing lighting to be saved onboard keyboards/mice to be used elsewhere. Firstly, you need to come out of your bubble and go speak to your sales department. People are buying and returns your products in droves because of the fact you cannot save lighting profiles on onboard. Instead you ramble on about macros being saved onboard, but in reality you could point the number of people who give a damn about macros on one hand (one of which would be you). If you had any common sense, you'd at the very least allow a handful of pre-built lighting profiles to be set as default and static colours, which can then be used on xbox etc when plugged in. No need for fancy lighting profiles, just adding the basic lighting profiles and static. You have no clue as to how many people are dissapointed, especially kids who just want the lighting to work on xbox etc, instead the stupid developers like you are more bothered about daft macros. I want to replace my wrist rest for the blackwidow chroma keyboard but I couldn't find it anywhere. I have been using it for two years now and it started to flake. Any suggestions?

Im using the Blackwidow Lite on my mac and have synapse 2 downloaded. I want to try to change the key color lighting and stuff but the Synapse App doesnt recognize my keyboard, am I doing anything wrong? I tried uninstalling Synapse twice yet it still doesnt work. Help please

Anyone else have issues with their Razer PBT Upgrade kit? I have been using mine for a little over two weeks and my space bar is SHINY and the material has completely worn out. My WASD keys aren’t far behind. Razer claims that they never get shiny or smooth, but uhhhhh...two weeks makes me think I just got an awful set not even made out of PBT?

Hey folks, I recently bought a complete mercury set up, including the Huntsman, Pro Click, and Pro Glide. Only problem is, typing on the Hunstman for an extended period of time hurts my wrists. Since typing for long periods is required for my job, this is is something of a problem. Any suggestions for a good wrist rest to go with a mercury set up, or perhaps any word on when Razer will release a mercury edition of their new wrist rest? Seems to me like this is the one item missing from the mercury collection. I'd love for Razer to release a wrist rest colored like the one on the mercury Tartarus. There doesn't seem to be anything like that on the market right now. Thanks!

Hello, I recently bought a Razer Pro Type for work. For personal use I bought a Razer BlackWidow Elite (both orange switches). On the BlackWidow I experienced a much smoother feel and I wonder if these are factory lubed?

I'd like to see an Orbweaver 2 with better thumb buttons/spacebar replacement, but keeping the 5x4 keypad the same. What would you guys like to see out of a new Orbweaver?

Hi, I'm new here, i just buy a Blackwidow keyboard, and i want to register de product but, the web says me: the serial number of the product is unkown. Do anyone know if have to write the "S/N:" before the numbers or write "0" instead of "O" or somthing like that, that is giving me the problem? (pd: i'm spanish, sorry if somthing i said is wrong)

Hello everyone, recently I just bought razer huntsmen elite. I played nexustk.com game and I notice an issue here. My old keyboard have no problem when I press up arrow key continuously and then press left/right key for a second. When I release left/right arrow key the up arrow key still working. but here I noticed when I release left/right arrow key the up arrow key stop working. How do I solve this problem, anyone can help?

I've had an aging Belkin Nostromo N52 for quite some time now. I purchased Razer's initial Nostromo release way back in the day as a replacement and noticed the software was quite limited and there were issues with the controller not being able to manage multi-button key presses with shift state being utilized. Something the old belkin units have no issue. I was forced to return the razer nostromo unit. I've researched reviews of the later Razer keypad products and software appears to have caught up as one can implement mouse clicks and the like in macros now. However others are still reporting what appears to be a similar issue with shift state and multi-button presses. I've been utilizing the belkin nostromo n52 keys (8,12,13,14) for as WASD movement, the 11 key as the hold to shift state, thumb pad for jump, shift state thumb pad for run, and the d-pad for macro abilities along with shift state the d-pad for doubling number of macro'd abilities. I've spent 3 hours setting up my color patterns but they only work when I'm connected to my pc and I only use it on my Xbox. Is there a way I can get around this or inject the color code on the onboard chip any tips would be great. Could I replace the default color setting to my custom one? Thank you for your help

I'm looking to change my Ornata Keyboard soon but I can't find any Razer keyboards with linear switches (Yellow or Red) and French (AZERTY) layout. The only options I have now are Razer Green or Purple switches or other brands with Cherry MX silvers (meh)!

I am thinking about buying some Keycaps but I'm not sure if they are compatable with my keyboard because I saw some images and some keys have different sizes than mine so I want to make sure that I can use them before I buy them.

I own a razer blackwidow te v2 chrommma. And everytime I press the letter "mm", it likes to spam it a couple of times. This is inconsistent because it only happens every once and a while. The same thing happens on my other laptop with the same keyboard. I already did a clean synapse 3 installation along with cleaning my keyboard with air and shutting down synapse. Even when the software is shut down, the problem persists. Any ideas on how to fix this?
