When I initially purchased my 2017 Razer Blade 14 UHD with all the top specs, I loved it from the get go.

However, 2 months in - my system is CONSTANTLY freezing and crashing to the point where I have lost work I can never get back.

At the point, I have had enough and I need to find a solution or this is going back to Razer.

I know that this is a very broad description of events, but I just don't know what the cause is and I'm not learned in understanding event logs. It happens whether the system is under stress or not.

Can anyone advise how to provide crash data for anyone here to look at and figure out the cause?

    Thanks in advance

Download an app called BlueScreenView and take a look at the logs. Most freezes / crashes are caused by faulty OS drivers.

As a casual user, I would send it back. I had crash only 2 times, in 9 months, one at first weeks when in stressing Test (overclocked and undervolting it massively, second time recently, when I tried messing around with three external monitors for gaming set up.

  4. same here, I have my blade 9 months and it crash 3 times in the past two days...

Seems it’s windows related issue, after update i got bunch issue.. maybe my second crash wasn’t because external monitor, and wireless issues was not because wireless card. Yesterday I rolled back to 1703, no such issues again, tested now over 24 hours non stop using it as TV through programs website, no networks break at all so far like on FCU. It’s quite weird but I’m okay with old windows version.

Yeah. I originally had a Stealth. It kept freezing so it was returned not just once, twice, but three times. Razer finally just gave me a credit on their store (wouldn't refund my money). Then I bought the Blade 2017.

Originally the only gripe I had is that it would take more than 10 seconds to wake from sleep.

But slowly the blue screens started. I've also over the past few days had 2 COMPLETE freezes. Just over the last 15 days:

This bug check belongs to the crash dump test that you have performed with WhoCrashed or other software. It means that a crash dump file was properly written out.
The crash took place in a storage driver or controller driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK.

So being JUST out of warranty I'l just run this into the ground and never buy Razer again.

I owned an ASUS UX31A before that that ran almost 5 years without ever crashing (exact same software and usage) and my wife's Lenovo has only crashed once with the Watchdog error.

The Razers are great but way to twitchy for me to use as my daily driver.

Unfortunate because I otherwise love the notebook but something is just no 100% right with them,
