A few questions about trophies (that aren't about zsilvers)

So I made a Razer insider account way back in February and haven't touched it up until now. So now that I'm ready to get into the fray, I've noticed something about the trophies that has me a bit confused and I would like a bit more clarification on. The trophies page doesn't do anything does it? It has numbers and zsilver icons but they don't change at all regardless if I have the achievements in the rewards page or not. I did notice that in the thread "Guidlines and tips for posting on Razer|insider" there is some info that I'm not sure is still relevant or not. Under "posting titles and benchmarks" it shows the member levels and point ranges required for them but they equal a certain number of trophies? Is that still relevant? How do you rack up those points for those trophies? And why are the zsilver rewards referred to as trophies (as well as being called achievements) if something else is? It's a bit confusing to say the least.

I would give this thread a read. It pretty much covers everything from top to bottom. The only thing I couldn't find on it, is how to sign up for Insiders news letter.

From what i know or seen anyone else talking about, they are part of some older system which was abandoned so now they work, from what i can tell , accordingly to the number of the achievements you get. As you go through the titles like New Member, Active Member and so on till Well-known Member, your trophy points will increase within a range that determines those titles, you can check multiple users to see. And i believe that they chance and work when you achieve something from the posting category, when you reach a few achievements there your trophies will increase, and so on. Someone please correct me if i'm wrong!

I'm going to try and answer your questions 1 by 1.
If by trophies page you mean the one you get from rewards button on top, it is used to track your trophies and redeem the zsilver rewards associated with each one.
Those are the zsilver rewards for getting the trophy, and to redeem your zsilver you may have to logout and login again to insider.
This was part of the old system and some aspects of it are still around but not quite relevant this days. There are still member levels you can earn by getting achievements.
This is also a consequence of the new zsilver system. Every trophy has its achievement (getting the trophy) and the achievements have the associated rewards, so all-in-all achievements and trophies are the same thing and give you a reward every time you get one.

Hope I have answered all your doubts and if anyone finds that something I said is not true please enlighten me.

Thank you for trying to help @Hucast but that wasn't what i was referring to. I was asking why in the rewards page an achievement you don't have says "you don't have this trophy yet" while there are other completely different things called trophies somewhere else.

Thank you @BboySurf but i dont think thats how you go up in rank with the amount of achievements you have as in the aforementioned thread @kajira made they say under "Posting Titles and Benchmarks:"
    • New Member: 1-7 points
    • Member: 8-27 [= 3 Trophies]
    • Active Member: 28 [= 5 Trophies] >62
    • Well-known member: 63+
Since I've already accumulated 21 achievements but i've still yet to receive the "member rank" leading me to believe the "points" kajira referred to are something entirely different.

Thank you as well @Ciann but i was not referring to the rewards page but a separate page

and i realize now the page i was referring to with only zsilver icons and numbers for trophies was in a help section but alas i can be blind sometimes...

Ah gotcha! Insiders may seem simple to the naked eye, but its more complicated then you think. And you're welcome. :smile_:

And alas I can't be anymore blind! the page I was referring to is different but almost exactly the same. The one I was referring to is an achievement page but is accessed through a button on my profile page that shows my "trophies" even though the button pressed is my "trophy points" Untitled.png

I have 16 ''trophies points. means i will achive forum tittle member soon? Just take a while to get updated i think. ''Zsilver'' is a trophie.
    So this is correct format:
    • New Member: 1-7 points
    • Member: 8-27 [= 3 Trophies]
    • Active Member: 28 [= 5 Trophies] >62
    • Well-known member: 63+
we have just looked at it wrong. Or am I completly wrong here...

I'm pretty sure the achievements (A.K.A. zsilver rewards trophies) aren't the trophy points that equate to member status even though that's what it says it is.

This is entirely accurate. The very first system we had here on Insider was related to how many posts you've made and how many "likes" you had been given. There was a formula between the two that then determined your "title" within the community such as New Member, Member, Well Known Member, etc. Those had absolutely nothing to do with the zSilver trophy program that was brought in roughly 2.5yrs after Insider was created. (random side note - if you click your trophy points that you pointed out in the above photo and see the list of those rewards, those aren't even the same as the initial ones we had at the very beginning)

Off the top of my head I don't recall the exact number of posts vs likes that were required for each tier - it's posted somewhere from long ago, but I'm not sure I could even find it if I went searching for it, you're talking about conversations that happened, quite literally, about three years ago. lol

Hopefully that answers your question a bit better! :) :)

Wow, you really know all about the history of Insiders. Makes sense since you lived it. :smile_:

That page has all the trophies you got. The complete list you can get is the Rewards> button on top as I said previously.

Yeah, I've read older messages about how it used to be in the old days. That's when Razer started having grab bags for their loyal users. I read messages where Razer would hand out premium products just for posts! RLMAO! I wish I had signed up for Insiders then! I would have a ton more Razer gear! Some people have all the luck, to bad I ain't one of them! haha!

Once again, prizes for posts? Who would have even thunk it? Only that wild and wacky crew over at Razer!

Yeah, let's just say that I absolutely LOVED that system!!! LOL :big_grin_::big_grin_:

Well, yeah, pretty much. hehehe :)
I think the zSilver system is a much better system - but for folks like myself I don't get nearly as much out of it. I miss the old days of having access to all the tiers of items due to post counts. Believe it or not, I already over the number of posts for the max tier even before those rewards ever came out. So, it made it easy for me to get rewards and then also get them as gifts for family members after the refreshes started.

Well, I can understand your feelings about wanting it the old way, but me personally I have to say that I''m happy that Razer listened to their customers and wanted to include everyone, not just the select few when they tinker with their various rewards programs. Even with stuff like the zvault and the re-freshes they include such a wide variety of items to chose from. And I like to tell myself, its because Razer has read the messages on here and taken fan suggestions and actually implemented them. Once again proving that Razer is all about their "Cult" members.
