I just ordered my Razor Blade Stealth fully loaded. I want to purchase a monitor ( at least 27 inches ) and I am looking for recommendations on which is the best to get. I intend to get the Razor Core once it is available ( and the price is released). In addition to gaming I do phot and video editing so I need a good screen. Time to move from my iMac.

2core 4thread cpu for video and photo editing ?:s. Not what i would have picked .
Any screen will work. I Recently got Dell s2716dg and it is very very nice i would highly recommend it. It all depends on what resolution you want though. You way want 4k or 5k for video/photo editing or you may want 144hz 2k for gaming ??. Once you decide if u want 2k 144hz or 4/5k 60hz, and decide if u want TN or IPS then the choice of monitors will be slim enough :)

whats the difference between TN and IPS? generally for gaming it does seem like the 144hz 1ms monitors are rather expensive.. is it very significant from average ones?

I don't know the difference myself, but I have one monitor that's a IPS and one that's a TN, and I don't really notice any difference between the two

I ordered the QHD and also planning on getting a monitor. I would prefer one with similar DPI, I imaging it would be awkward if the dpi is different tween displays.

You're going to have to use a really small external monitor then. 19in or less.

    Really? I thought a 23in 4K should have around 200dpi.

At that resolution and screen size you'd be close. I wasn't sure exactly how close you wanted the DPIs to be. You'd be looking at 235 for the Stealth and 201 for the monitor. However, there's already concern for the CPU bottlenecking the GFX. I doubt playing any game at 4k would be enjoyable. Unless you're only looking to use the external display for non-gaming uses.

The 1080P curved Razer branded Lenovo monitor, is probably the best choice.

If you want to spend 600 for a monitor, that is.

You only live once. Even though I own a Predator monitor, I know that monitor would be perfect for what the Core + Stealth can do.

That's why you see that monitor in every picture with the Blade Stealth and Core.

Viewing angles and color reproduction. IPS is considered far superior to TN when it comes to picture quality. TN is faster (but probably not for long). 144hz 1ms TN panels are not expensive at all, many fall in $200-300 range. "Average" monitors probably cant do 120+ frames per second.
Try moving your head around and viewing your TN panel starting from the center, then from the left, right, top, bottom. You should notice huge distortions in the screen. Doesn't happen for IPS.
    Well...if you want the best...

    Acer Predator XB271HU.

If you're living in my country, I'll recommend Wasabi Mango's 40"+ monitor. even its 55" 4K model's price is under $1.1k but using LG IPS panel, not a chinese low-quality panel from hon-hai or something. check ebay!

Is there a way to run dual monitor off the one output on the stealth? I'm a developer by trade and have become dependent on the dual screen setup. I know the laptop has a screen but it's much nicer on the eye having two of the same size same resolution monitors next to each other. Plus it means I can just continue with my current setup at work as well.

    I have the XB271HU.

    That is the Z35 panel.
The problem with the Z35 is that it has a stretched resolution on 2560x1080(less than XB271HU) and uses a VA panel and not a IPS panel.

My money is on the XB271HU.

I would personally go with one of Asus's G-sync enabled monitors (such as the PG278)
