Hey there I've been looking recently at getting a new Razer mouse mat and I really just cant decide what to get. I don't really need Speed or control but I'm not sure if I want both. I was considering the Megasome 2 but I don't really know if its speed/control. Also, could someone explain the hard/soft thing to me? I'm under the impression that's it's a control mat but not sure. I will be getting the Razer Deathadder also. Hopefully, someone out there can help.

    Thanks, have a good day.

Soft mats are made out of cloth, and hard ones are made of metal/plastic. It's up to your preference.

As for the speed/control (I guess you're talking about Goliathus series), it again depends on your preferences.

Razer Megasoma 2 is control mouse mat. You can try Razer Vespula, it has both speed and control surface.

It really depends on your personal preference. For example, I prefer control mat because it gives me additional feedback when I slide he mouse around.

I would prefer speed because I like the smooth surface. But it depend on your own preference, you can do some research for it before you buy it.

I prefer contorl, but it tends to wear my mouse feet off quite quickly. Also it collects a lot of my "sweat residue"... yucks!

I replaced my old Goliathus control with firefly because it will sticking to the table and peeling from underneath because I rest my wrist on it and sweat through it.

Will in future, one thing at a time, though! I'm not sure if I wanna go ahead and get the Mamba or get the Deathadder sooner. But that's a topic for another time when I'm closer to buying.
