I do actually now wonder whether the pascal mobile gpus will be announced at computex in June. I just read an article about the just announced acer predator x laptop with the desktop 980, and that is releasing in July.

Well, for what's it worth, I sent Razer an email this morning and I was told the delay was "due to unforeseen circumstances" and to please note that May 18th is only an estimated shipping date.

    Vague answer is vague.

Probably not... unless benchmarks start leaking, only count on the desktop variants releasing at first. So far, I haven't seen a single hint of the mobile releasing anytime soon. Granted, I haven't given it a good look in a couple weeks.

Razer better be planning on adding the pascal or at least offer something. Otherwise I might as well wait for a model that does.
Not the best news to wake up to.

  6. A bunch of people asked me so I will just post it here. Good deal or not, up to you guys to decide.

So the laptop I think retails from dell for $2300, depending on how you click it and find it ($2200 to $2350), gotta love dell.com :). If you go 4K you NEED to get the extended battery model.

    1. You got to call. You might need to call like 5 times. I started the process with Chat and realized calling is the best bet.

    2. http://www.dell.com/learn/us/en/19/campaigns/price-match-guarantee - They base there price match off this for lenovo.com or hp.com COMPARABLE SYSTEMS:

    o Operating system
    o Memory
    o Hard disk drive capacity
    o Graphics solution (i.e. GPU)
    o Screen Size and Resolution
    o Touch capability
    o Processor

I fought to price match it to the build your own lenovo Y700. The changes to that system are: i7, 16gb, 512 ssd (you need to use Hard drive 2 only) and 4K. It comes to $1525.

    3. You need to keep pushing this and keep pushing to speak with superiors, because they will tell you the XPS only is price matched to the Macbook Pro (but their website doesn't say that anywhere). Eventually they will give you the cost amount. I am not the first person to do this so you should be able to as well. I am probably the first to try it with the 4K screen though :)

I got it for $1600. I then got the 4 year service/accidental for about $250 (down from $400) + taxes and it came to $1950 and change.

Once my laptop ACTUALLY ships (Tuesday) and anyone has problems with the above process I will gladly give you my order number so they can look up the pricing for you, they actually will do that and should match other customers. It wasn't a pre-built system so it ships Tuesday and arrives Wednesday, you can usually bitch your way to free Next Day.

But in all seriousness, its really a better buy at that price with a better screen, bigger SSD and upgradeable RAM to 32gb. I believe someone got a 1080P version (everything else same specs for around $1350, no warranty). That 4 year ACCIDENTAL warranty is an amazing thing though, and is definitely negotiable. Let me know if it helps you or not. To negotiate the service price I used microsoftstore.com's 2 year at $130 coverage, I just said that price is more reasonable to me and they gave me the 4 year for double it.

Which means they planned on shipping the first ones on March 31st. They didn't ship any of them, hence, there was a delay, especially since Min announced it as a delay, so I don't understand your argument.

I checked out and it was 1800 for the i7 512gb and 16gb ram. Don't know if tax goes into that..

Yeah, you are right...They actually decided to delay just to piss you off. smh

How is that a bullshit excuse. It sounds like a plausible reason to me, even if it is not the real reason, I don't blame them for telling us that...because of people like you who will shit on everything anyway.

You must not realize that you can, in fact, delay a product for two completely different reasons...Believe it or not, this happens. Consumers are so dense sometimes.

  14. How can you not call it bullshit? Their CEO says the cause of the delay was an Intel update, One cs rep said they are sorting the orders because they have so many of them that they screw up and another cs rep is telling that they are having shipping / manufacturing problems.

If the excuse of the cs reps are not bullshit then please educate me what it needs for their excuse to qualify as a "bullshit".

Its just cause he's pissed off, which I'm not happy but this is the laptop I want so I'm gonna wait.

Lol, I guess I get that...CS really might have no idea what is up with the delay, and is just trying to give you a reason so they don't look out of the loop, but the truth is, on matters such as these, CS is usually the last to know, until a statement has been prepared.

  17. Yes of course it do happen, trust me, i'm in the middle of tech supply chain. But add the delay with poor cs service with the ceo active on twitter and not releasing a formal statement about the delay? That's just pure negligence for me.

  19. I'm happy for you! :wink_: I just cancelled my order so i hope you get yours sooner

  20. Ummm..actually...it shows as a promotion on the PAGE FOR THE NEW RAZER BLADE. You have to read the fine print to find out that it doesn't work on pre-orders. Most other companies on earth allow some sort of financing option on new hardware. I have every right to rip them as much as I want. And I will continue to do so as a customer.
