Ok so I am in the understanding that the Blue Yeti and Razer Sieren are very similar microphones, both are condenser mic with 4 different polar-patterns - Cardioid, Biodirectional, Omnidirectional and Stereo - as well as coming in both USB and XLR versions...

Budget wise the Blue Yeti is cheaper and comes in many different colour but the Razer Sieren has the iconic Razer Logo as well as a micro LCD screen that shows gain level, volume level and Polaroid-Patterns

So my question is...Which is better...?

I'm counting the catagories on Astetic, Usefilness, sound quality and budget

Never used a Sieren, But my blue yeti works well and i have it on a Rode PSA 1 boom arm, with a Radius 2 shock mount. Only problems i ever had is it gave out before, Got it replaced and it has been fine for 2 years. Also, On skype and some recording programs it can sound a little static, Even when the gain is at the best setting to stop it. The best program to use it for if recording is using audacity, and changing up some settings that reduce this noise.

Well hate to break it to Razer fans but the Yeti is way better in terms of price/performance. And the lcd is more of a gimmic. If you need it for gaming/podcasts or voiceovers go for the Yeti hands down.

Razer might have an edge only if you want the aesthetic quality since the Yeti looks a little less stealthy rather than the all black and cylindrical looking Sieren.

Does the Seiren have Chroma lighting? I'm obsessed with it, lol!
I currently have a Blue Snowball and the quality is actually pretty darn good. I don't know how much better the Yeti really is.
I do know that the Seiren (Pro?) has an automatic filter that filters out noise below 100Hz. Idk if the Yeti does the same thing or not.
Serien is definitely more discreet though and looks like a gaming thing, whereas the Yeti looks like a professional recording studio mic.

I would go with Blue since they are renowned in microphones and my Blue Nessi is awesome

Linus tech tips did a review of both microphones.

And here is a soundcloud of LTT mic tests so you can compare them side by side

    Hope this helps!!!

    P.S. Personally I can't speak for either microphone, as I own an AT2020 USB+

They're pretty much the same thing, but if you want the Razer Logo you'll have to pay a bit extra.

Personally I would choose the Razer Seiren because it looks good in combination with other Razer stuff, but the sound from the blue yeti is also very good.

All in all i would chose if the design is it worth paying more, the Seiren has classic Razer quality :)

Yeah, exactly... I mean, I really want it, but if the price goes up even more for lighting, I couldn't afford it. Can't afford it now anyway, lol

It's definitely going to be expensive with Chroma lightning, haha

Wouldn't doubt it. Though, of course, it'd be awesome!

You're correct but I will be the devil's advict for a minute and say that the little LCD Screen can be the defining feature that makes a few people go for the Sieren over the Yeti

I own a Blue Yeti due to budget cost though

I'd love to see a Razer Seiern Chroma tho! It'd look sweet on streams!

As well as the fact it has the LCD screen that could be more helpful :3 rather than having to move to look at the gain level

Watch Dogs 2 is worth it... Razer should bundle games with products... WHY HAVEN'T THEY DONE THAT BEFORE?!

Yeah I agree with you 100%. That is a feature that is worth alot to some people but most of them tend to mess with the gain and eQ settings in their recording software or their capture cards. Since those provide even higher control over the sound you get.

Yeti is the best bang for your buck mic. sub $100 and picks up sound crystal clear like a champ. Most live streams I watch with the yeti sound pretty good. Reviews on youtube though have the seiren and yeti performing both well. I do like the black color of the seiren though and the green led razer logo. I would think the yeti comes out ahead just because your getting alot at great price.
