Really hope they make a TE version. The same mouse body, wired, no bundled pad. It's a bummer that this is the only way to get a mamba that has an optical sensor. However, the weight is pretty appealing as it is now.

That's amazing, charging a wireless mouse and gaming at the same time is awesome!

  10. Not even close. The only difference between this mouse and the Logitech wireless mice that have been ruling the market is like 7-15 grams (i.e. they weigh as much as Razer's wired mice), except those mice are usable wirelessly on any pad. I'm even assuming that this Mamba is on par in performance. Furthermore, one of the Logitech mice is currently going for $80 while the other is under $120. You have to spend $250 if you want the optical Mamba. Apparently Logitech will also be doing this combo stuff with lighter mice (their lighter mice being lighter) and will expand the wireless mouse models offered as well (namely the G Pro I'd imagine). If they also provide the option for a larger pad to power these mice then they would be ahead from every angle.

Sounds like a good idea. Loved my 2012 mamba before the dock started acting goofy which made me run on wired.

I am all for love for a brand but it is kinda silly to sit here and say this is something never seen before and light years ahead of competition. Yes, this is not the same as Logitech's PowerPlay, but even if they work on a different principle they are both achieving the same thing: they allow you to game without annoyance of cable and without fear your battery will drain in the middle of a battle.

It is correct that Razer made a wireless mouse without batteries which is cool, but at 96g it is only 11g lighter than G703 with battery and with 10g weight removed it sits at 107g, which some might find substential. Imo, lack of battery will in some cases be restricting, as it will prevent you to use the mouse without the mousepad, like when you are playing the movie on your TV and not sitting at your desk (which I do a lot., hence why I immediately noticed the issue) I am not sure if that was worth 11g. :slightly_sad:
