I've had my blackwidow chroma and deathadder chroma for years and i was stoked to see razer come out with LED strips. I have seen videos on the HDK but there are none that go through a thorough debriefing of the lights itself. I would want to put the lights along my 2 metre long desk ( I know that the hdk only comes with 2 strips 50cm respectively I have to spend even more money on more strips) But looking at the videos there are 4 ports, does this mean If i want to put the lights on my desk I have to plug each one into a different port in the central hub? Do certain ports correspond to the order of the effect? Can I chain each strip onto each other? These are some misunderstandings I have with the product and is changing my mind to purchase it. If someone can give me a thorough explanation for the HDK. Also will there be compatibility for the deathadder chroma with synapse three?

The HDK is fully customizable on Synapse 3.0, which means you can actually chain effects to make one hell of a smooth ride ;)
Yes, every strip need to be plugged into a different port, remember that they come with a flat-cable extension, so u can place em less closer to the hdk module.
The order of effect is decided by the position you place the various strips in the Synapse 3 software.
The light is very powerful if connected to a power socket instead of the computer, so mind about this thing too.

This is my setup, just to give you an example of how much light they produce, i had to cut em down, tho. One strip is inside the case, the other one behind the monitor (yeah they're adjuistable in length)

I also have the HDK, and I am really not that good with computer stuff, but they were really easy to set up for me.
