I am a lover of new technology, despite being somewhat older than most folks in this community. I would love to know if I will be able to snag a Nabu before I retire in a few years! If you could post a clear answer as to when people might be able to actually get Nabu, and what, exactly, we need to do to get one, it would be very helpful! Please.....I'll be your best friend!!!

Just wait for them to announce another batch of pre-orders. It'll probably be easier for you since you're in the states. The rest of us have to wait. *Sad face*

Trust me, I'd rather it be not available at all than have to clear all your schedule and stare at an "site will be up shortly" and hitting the f5 button non stop for about 15-20 mins then be disappointed that it was soldout in 10 seconds.

not to mention the time difference....

Okay here's the steps to get it done:
    1. Be patient.
    2. Wait for retail launch
    3. Upon retail launch purchase through online retailers, or go to a physical store and buy one.

I fed up of this next wave talk again. This is crazy just release it already!! I've been track this band since Jan 14 and it's bonkers to think it's still not out.

Then go ahead and buy one and stop complaining about it on the forums. News flash, they're not going to rush production for YOU. People as a whole are very impatient nowadays and want nothing but instant gratification.

I have been following the nabu since Jan 14 when it was first announced back when it had two screens. With little or no information from then until recently I'm just really frustrated with the way Razer has handled this product. I am in no way impatient as I have waited and waited for it to be released. Just feel they should put a lot of us out of our misery and release it or at very least give us a release date. A year+ is way to long from pitch to available.

e.g. amazon.de currently specifies a delivery time of 2-4 weeks, some sites say later this year (few month), but i havn't read an official statement yet.

Well then you didn't follow it very well. There are extremely good reasons why they didn't release it in the time frame they originally stated. On top of that they started a new beta program system with the Nabu and have greatly improved the performance of the Nabu. Complaining and threatening to buy a different device doesn't do jack except just piss people off. Do whatever the hell you want to do but don't bitch about it here.

Razer may have had a few issues with keeping people in the loop but in general they have handled the Nabu quite well. If it was released like it was originally was supposed to, you wouldn't have been very happy with what you received.

    So have patients. Period.

This is what I think on the business side of Razer Nabu,, "Business-wise, running out of inventory is always better than having to write-off millions or billions of inventory, but running out before the holidays just isn't good business management,".

Razer put it on sale for Developers, if you are one you could get it. If you're not so you should wait and keep an eye on the Media and Razer Store it self

Don't think it's available for Asians as well right?

It isn't really on sale for developers either. You have to fill out a form giving them detailed info so they are sure you are a developer, and then get an invite to purchase it.

I agree I am sick and tired of the next wave bullshit for the nabu. They just need to do a public release. "excuse my language"

Im still very confused about this wave stuff. Cant I just get on a waiting list and you sell by first come first served not who was online at the release time?

I know you didn't mean your comment the way it sounds, but it's funny - sounds like it's a racial thing - like 'we don't sell to Asians'! I'm sure you meant Asia, yes?

Vivosmart is one of several on the market that I tried already, but returned it. I do think Nabu is worth the wait and I would not recommend the Vivosmart.

I think that's a good point. With all the activity trackers either already on the market or about to hit, or announced at CES, companies would rather release large chunks of product that will definitely sell out. And, of course, I hope there are improvements or tweaks in the meantime to perfect or correct any issues that were found in the first releases.
