  1. Looking for opinions on which firefly is preferred. I have only ever used cloth mats, but i have read that the cloth one has a bump at the top of the pad which bothers some people. Is this a serious problem or is it just people being overly-critical? Any advice will be appreciated :)

I have the hard version which I'm very happy with. I sorta skeeve soft pads because I think they absorb sweat and other body odor. At least with a hard mat all I need to use is a damp cloth.

^ Hits it right on the head! I'd rather have cloth, however there is not great way of cleaning/washing the pad because of the lighting attached to it and everyone that has ever made a thread on this topic has had no solution. So for the mean time I'd op for the hard surface based on the cleaning purpose

Cloth is a bit difficult to clean, and could damage the surface. I also heard and experience that laser mouse scan better on hard surface than optical. Optical preform the best on cloth, correct me if I’m wrong. But I feel kind right, because my best gaming setting on go atheris with goliathus stealth and Orochi with sphex mini, and Lancehead wireless with laser felt better on any hard surface than Atheris on the same hard surface. So I have already firefly hard, the best setting mouse for me atm is Lancehead wireless as my main gaming setting.

  5. Yeah, the cleaning would definitely be easier. Do you find ware on the mouse feet at all? I've read that this has been a concern.

I think surface from my Firefly hard and sphex v2 not so rude that made quick degradation on my Mouses feet, i think it depends also how you are using it, I saw some poeple use their mouse like brushing the shoes or erasing blackboard;) but I’m just casual relax player. My oldest diamondbacks has no feet ware I think 2 years in gaming use, still using it on my MacBook for non gaming purposes.
