I saw a Blade Stealth at the microsoft store yesterday and started playing with the keyboard lights in Synapse when I noticed the option "Switch Primary and Secondary Function [fn] keys." This basically made the function keys similar to how a mac would work; instead of pressing fn + F2 to lower the volume, you'd just have to press the F2 button. This option isn't there in Synapse on my Blade 14 2015... Anybody know how to enable it? Or Razer, could y'all maybe enable it via an update please? Thanks guys.
Bump, just wanted to know if there was any update on making this happen on the older Blade 14 2015...
In synapse you can assign any key to do pretty much anything, so I assume as long as you toyed with synapse enough you could make that happen.
Yes, like Destrok said, any key can be assigned as any key through Synapse as well as "Do Nothing" and a few other OS functions.
Yes but you cannot set the buttons for controls such as brightness... and you cannot make macros that involve the fn keys... Even if I did reassign the keys, I would loose the ability to use the function keys. So why can't there be a simple way to toggle this like there is in the stealth? Btw, does anybody know if there are controllable fan modes on the 2016 Blade 14?
pretty sure you can. If you select categories like windows shortcuts and multimedia you can set keys to do things like change volume and several of the other things the function keys do.
