How do I enable multi point gestures?

  1. I just did a fresh install of windows 10 pro so that I could have Bit Locker encryption for my harddrive. I fly for a living so travel too much to risk having my laptop taken on the road.

Anyway I've been getting all the windows updates and drivers squared away but can't figure out how to get the trackpad to accept gestures. It's driving me nuts not being able to scroll using two fingers on it. How do I enable this?

I don't know what device you're using, but for me (RBS) it's in the Synaptics settings. You might not have that installed since it's third party, and not part of windows.

  3. Yeah you need to install synaptics drivers. You can probably find them on the razer support site in the subsection for your specific laptop.

  4. I'm not understanding. I have the 2016 razer blade. I have Synapse installed and I let it update. When I click on trackpad there are two options. Trackpad Settings and Windows PC settings. Both of those take me to options within the Windows 10 OS but under neither of those settings do I see any options to enable multipoint gestures. I could completely be looking in the wrong spot but I can't seem to find any other options.

As the two other members have said, try installing the Synaptics drivers. Synaptics is not Synapse.

    Here's the direct download link.
    Here's the driver page.

  6. So I'm reading an article and it says windows 10 will tell you if your PC has a precision touchpad. I open up the settings like this article states and I do not have the precision touchpad statement this is talking about.

  7. I'm sorry I thought synaptics was part of synapse since synapse has the mouse options in it. Thank you for the links

  8. am I to assume everything on the page is the most up-to-date? I see two nvidia drivers wasn't sure about the second one.

So it defiantly is there. You were on the right track (the post u put in with pictures)
You just needed to click on more options, and get the thing I had open on the left, then click settings, and it will open the thing I had on the right.

  10. Ok we're cooking now! I have gestures. Now when I two finger scroll it takes off at 500mph and I can't really use it. I've looked in the settings and went to gestures and put it at all the way SLOW and it's still hyperspeed. Any thoughts?

  11. I have that now but I didn't at the time. The first pic was from a website showing what it should look like. It still doesn't say precision but it does bring up the options that you are showing. However even after putting it on slow my scrolling is lightning fast. Trying to figure that one out. I do appreciate all your help.

  12. Ahh SUCCESS! Turns out it set the default in the mouse settings to scroll pages at a time and not lines at a time. Thank you much!
