Hi, I use an orbweaver from nearly 2 years now. It's very cool especially if you are on a laptop. And even if you use it on pc (I use it on both) you can keep the same profile for all your games, everywhere.

There are only one thing that bother me. The "space touch", I don't find it very usefull since you have a 8 directional button and mine is deficient (I think because it's from the beginning) that it often stay stuck on. Sometimes it doesn't come back to it's initial position.

So even if sometimes I instinctively use my keyboard, I definitively find it more comfortable.

  2. Sorry about the long delay, it took a while to finish building my computer. Here is the picture of my set up I promised with the Orbweaver in it. It is a really fun device to use.

  3. I love my Orbweaver. I mainly use it for playing Dota. I've not had it for long, and there's definitely a learning curve getting used to which button does what (when you've programmed it), but I'm slowly getting better :)

My Orbweaver has a braided cable?... Unless they updated it when they changed it to their own switches.

I picked up the orbweaver in the sale and it has a big learning curve but im starting to get the hang of it now and its benefits are paying off. and all the new orbweavers must have braided cables as mine has, when did you pick up yours ironcrow?

Mine is braided as well. I saw in a review that the regular Orbweaver isn't braided. Or maybe I could be wrong.
@Hybridbreed you are definitely right. Had a pretty good learning curve. I'm getting the hang of it but sometimes press the top #1 & 2 button together at the same time. I'm sure once my muscle memory sets in I'll be ready to go 100% but so far I enjoy it

Must be the first gen Orbweaver with the Cherry keys that isn't braided, as thats the one I have too.

  8. Yup mines braided too with razer's own mechanical keys. really liking it. had to change the shift key to ctrl tho.

  9. Curse you all who were able to buy an Orbweaver during the CES 2015 Sale. Just kidding. Congrats. I am waiting patiently for the next sale to get a stealth. I have been a long time user of Keypads and currently bounce between a Nostromo N52 and an old school sidewinder commander. Cant wait.
    Thanks.

Possibly - I bought mine from Amazon in 2013.

Would anyone know if you can change the key map on the fly without going through synapses?

After getting used to it. It's definitely enjoyable

You can assign a key to switch/toggle between keymaps. I'm not at my PC at the moment, but I think you just select a key and the option is quite obvious. Will have a look later!

Thanks. I'll take a closer look later on when I get back home. Atleast it's good to know that there is a toggle

No worries. In fact, I keep meaning to actually set this up myself. Never got around to it!

It's in the list of key settings when you assign a function, with the four squares icon. You assign this and can switch key maps easily.
