[Insider] Razer Insider performance check

    Hi guys,

    Did you know we've been around for a year? We are! And I know we've gotten a lot of different feedback on the general feel, and content seen on Razer Insider and we really appreciate the honest comments.

    To make sure we're covering all the grounds, I'd like to do a quick check on the performance of Razer Insider. Would like to hear what you guys think about the loading times for Razer Insider.

    If you're replying - do kindly let me know the browser you are using, and if Insider's load times has been consistent for you, i.e. does it load fast, is the browsing experience smooth? Are there features broken? Do you have issues uploading images/replying threads?

    Chrome: Version 48.0.2564.41 beta-m (64-bit)

    I have absolutely no problems with Insider. Loading times are pretty fast, and the "never-ending Insider" feature is quite nice. Loading times are also very consistent.

    It's kinda "-.-" when replying to a thread only to find out that it was deleted. I know that it alerts you in real-time when a new reply is posted, could the same be for thread deletion?

    Decrease the time necessary between reports? Or at least keep the report text if you "must wait X seconds", so the report text doesn't need to be re-typed.

    There is one thing...
    When I mouse over a person's username... this happens.

    But here's a list of minor stuff (I might be the only person to somewhat dislike on these):
    • Search button. I find myself clicking the thing, hence closing it on click. It's probably for the best to keep it as is.
    • Dark mode. Kinda hard on the eyes with the white background in the middle of the night... But it's okay during the day.
    • Conversations. Perhaps have the red icon that appears in the profile picture in the upper right be a different color, or have an icon on the left side of the profile picture icon display conversation alerts?
    • Trophy points. Let people know how many trophy points require certain ranks? The rank names can also be changed around to be more gamer-like. newb, gamer, hardcore, gamer, pro-gamer, etc.

    The loading time is normal and i use google chrome for surfing and my browsing experience has been great!!!:)

    It loads really fast and I have never experienced any problems. I am using Google Chrome latest version.

    Quite crisp for me I use chrome on my pc's and beta chrome on my Note4. Both have a similar experience, load times are a little longer on pc than mobile but that is largely due to more content being displayed.

    Only bug I have really noticed is the 'link credentials'(facebook, twitter etc from memory) issue. I haven't tried recently but tried several times in the past and never got it to work so I just gave up. Other than that have been really impressed with insider so far, it's a good place for fellow gamers to share ideas, tips and information.

    Performance: Good overall
    Bug: sometimes while trying to post a reply the page goes non-responsive and the post doesn't get published so I am forced to copy the content and do a refresh as it may not have auto-saved the whole post. After refresh and pasting the content back in to the box the post reply button works.
    Loading speed: Good.
  7. I'm using Firefox 40 on Win 7, never had any problems with loading times (that were caused by you). I haven't seen any bugs yet :)

    As far as I know, it's decently loading on Firefox for me, no really unexpected or unpleasant behaviour from my personal use.

So far so good... everything looks smooth and functions normal as any forums on the web.... there should be a quick razer support implemented here instead in the razerzone website. don't get me wrong... I found solutions with people sharing their experience with the MAMBA 2015 and got it to work and that would simply reduce the confusion and save time of opening to the main website.

    KUDOS for the wonderful community here!

    Hoping the razer support should be here instead in their main website since THIS IS WHERE all the razer users discuss their peripherals and their love for RAZER

    Loading speed: No problems whatsoever

    Feedback: Everything seems top notch like other forums I have been on. Images load quick, replies are good, notifications are good.

    Google chrome, windows 10, ipad, android phones etc, all no problems whatsoever. The scrolling down for "never-ending" posts seems cool. I agree with previous poster that support should be here, everything is usually on forums when it comes to support for other products too. Other users having the same issues may search for their errors first before posting or asking staff support for one. Just my two cents. Good work Razer!

    I'm on the latest version of Chrome, and the loading times are phenomenal. I have never had any other forum load as fast as Insider does. I just wish the mobile version was a bit more user friendly, as it's missing some key buttons like the rewards and forum buttons, unless I've just overlooked them.

    I use Mozilla on PC, and UC browser on mobile devices.
    Really need a mobile version of the Insider and Store. Although, the mobile app would be even better!:wink_:

    I use Internet Explorer (don't hate), and it loads within a few seconds
    (I also enjoy the emoticons) :smile_:

    I use new firefox and Insider is loaded really fast, I cant complain on anything

    been doing browser benchmarks, as for feeling and use of razer insider, my own opinion its been loading fast, i havent seen a hicup so far.

    my only comment in regards to razer insider is the Mobile Browser (Chrome)

    some times loadtimes do become slow due to scripts and what not, and its not easy to navigate, and theres no option to go Full Desktop browsing on a mobile browser... even if I select request desktop browser, etc it defaults on mobile version.

    but performancewise... its actually smooth and consistent
