Considering that Razer's been putting Chroma/RGB into most of their products lately (mousepads/headphone stands/etc.), do you think that the Leviathan would be a good candidate for the Chroma treatment? I feel it would be an interesting concept just like those speakers with water bouncing inside them, and would fit nicely with a lot of people's battle stations.. Also, I've always wondered what green sounded like...
Why not lol? Although, it would simply add price to an already over-priced speaker. Leviathan, IMO, is extremely overpriced.
I've been saying that since I've started posting on Insiders. That's why I haven't even looked at the "other" brands even though I know they exist. I'm waiting for Razer to develop a superior version then the "other" guys. To me its worth the wait. Well, if you want can always work for one by joining the Paid to Play Program. That's Razer's Revolutionary Program where they actually pay you to play games. I like to think it's Razer's way of helping people get their hands on their first Razer gear while at the same time gaining a little more brand recognition and good will for themselves. What better way to show your appreciation for your fan base, then by paying them to do the thing they love best? Only the daring vision of Razer has made this possible.
I wouldn't say it's overpriced, it's roughly in the same range as any Bose/Klipsch/other brands minus Beats. I haven't used one though so maybe sound quality might be an issue? I think once Chroma is added to the Leviathan, I can imagine we'd consider it to be pricier than the competition though. Then again, after a few months-years, a bunch of other manufacturers would probably consider the same thing.
I haven't bought a Leviathan yet, purely on the hope that there will be chroma one day soon. I haven't bought any non-chroma Razer devices and I'm not about to start.
Lol I am aware what zsilver and zgold is, thanks though lol. And I don't earn zsilver because I don't play any of the paid-to-play games. xD Additionally, it would take a new customer months to earn that much zsilver. Like 9 months.
Can't say I care much about chroma, but I would like to see a new version include a remote for living room usage and fix the auto-poweroff out-of-the-box rather than by hidden firmware update.
Well if they could make a more sleak design... or even a 2.0 version with chorma. I would save to buy it. Need some THX certification and high-quality drivers, though. I don't mind paying a premium, would love to have a high-quality stereo speaker set made or certified by Razer. That would be awesome.
I've never had a Leviathan, but from the looks of it, its just boxy and looks like those typical sound bars you get for TVs. I mean it's not horrible, but it's too simplistic for what it is. I think the Chroma can add that little bit of zing to the product. In terms of sound quality, how are the higher end headphones of Razer? Never experienced one, but if they're pretty decent, then I don't see why the Leviathan shouldn't be getting that amount of quality too. That's actually a great idea, considering that it could act like one of those SoundLink speakers of Bose, or like the Jambox, I feel that Razer could be more viable with those functions.
I think a chroma version of the Leviathan and even the Leviathan minis would be great. Even if it was just the Razer logo.
I think it would look great with the logo and also the outline, like even if it was just a pinstripe around the speaker. How's the sound quality? I was always curious how it performed
I think it sounds pretty decent. nice bass, clear highs. I wanted to clear up the clutter of having 5 speakers on my desk, and I was building a Razer themed computer so, that was a bonus.
That sounds like what the all-in-one speakers are aiming for now, less clutter on the desk. But that's great to hear! I'm hoping the price increase for a Chroma/newer version just doesn't go overboard.
Leviathan Chroma would be awesome. I'd light up the Razer logo and add bottom/top stripes like the Razer Mamba TE. That would be badass!
