Used some steel wool to polish and clean off that top layer.

I did a little more researching and I take everything back! NEX Gaming has helped me alot with information and copper nickle plated is SAFE!!!!! As I went back to Thermal paste I was hitting 99C and I HATED IT!

Is there no gap between it? The degradation from polishing may made a gap between vapor chamber and cpu or gpu, maybe adjusting die somehow will make it normal again. But be careful with anchors that’s seemly made from plastic, it may break if you screw it too tight.

I used a really fine steel wool that only smooths down the top layer out so its safe! no gaps! but thanks for the heads up!

You can check notebookreview forum Blade 15 owners lounge, there’re several users tried similar with you, when I’m not wrong user @assault who ended up dried changed it to kryonaut, and other user called @iunlock, successed by adjusting the die with several other tweaks, he is on top 3Dmark 1070maxq Laptop with his Blade 15 because of LM tweaks. You can PM them if you want.
I think because of thin light categories unlike maybe on game nexus mostly laptops with big cooling room like Alienware, it’s a bit difficult to keep liquid metal without other pad tweaks like iunlock did on Blade 15.

when I cleaned off first session of LM it was still very wet so I am not too concern, I reapplied with Kryonaut just to test and played a few games and saw highest 99c and I was like whattttttt I am going back to LM!!!! lol

I am surprised you are seeing temps that high honestly... whether stock or Kryonaut they should be cooler. LM totally aside.

yea it was scary, to be honet I didnt play much games on the original thermal paste it came with, then I did LM and saw good results, I decided to do a after a month post just to show what the end results would be after that time, and wasnt bad at all and decided to test Kryonaut and test the same game, COD BO 4 and it started seeing high 90s in Celsius and freaked out!
