    Hey guys,

Not long ago I finally got my hands on an Amazon Echo device.
I really like it and I think that it is the future. So, why don't let Razers Chroma devices be a part of this future?

I mean, just imagine... You are playing your favorite online-game and forgot to switch your profile... Normally you would have to tab out, open synapse and change your Profile. You would lose time, that could give the enemies an advantage. So just use Alexa to switch to your favorite profile!
Ok maybe this example is a little bit... over the top? hehe :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Today I would like to share with you a small Alexa-Skill prototype that I build around the Chroma SDK.

Currently the Chroma Skill is capable of:
    - changing between predefined effects(e.g. Wave, Breathing, Static) on multiple devices
    - changing the current color of a chroma device
    - telling you which Chroma devices are connected

    Here's a small example:

Like always I appreciate your feedback :)

When do you think the skill will be ready? This looks awesome and since I have my Echo Dot on my desk hooked to my computer this would be perfect!

Nice to hear that you like it :)

Well currently it's more a proof of concept than a final version. I'm working on getting it to a stable and releasable version. So stay tuned :)

Haha this looks dope, but seems like you're doing too much talking to get things done. Couldn't you just say "set keyboard to blue"?

Unlikely not, the current Alexa Syntax is: "Activation Word"+"tell/ask/open Skillname"+"Command". So at the moment "tell Chroma" is always needed. Whether the part after that can be shortened :)

I'm pretty sure that you have to address Alexa

I've been wondering, can this work with Google Assistant?

Not this particular app. Currently I'm using a framework that only supports Alexa yet.
In theory you could build a similar app for the Google assistant, if there is a working API. Maybe something I will implement when the Alexa integration is stable :)

Keep us posted, this is cool stuff :D What else could you have interact with Chroma, now Alexa and Chroma talk to eachother?

This is so nice, no words for it

In theory every voice assistant could work with Chroma. It just needs to be able to send and receive requests from a third-party-app :)

Check, I figured :) What I was meaning to ask is what else works with Alexa, and thus could co-work with Chroma, i.e. say "romantic mood", and multiple different things react, like lights turning down, chroma going red etc.
Or is the SDK build in a way you can only directly effect 1 thing, alexa, make chroma do X?

Do we need to speak that slow for alexa to understand? Coz alt tabbing and switching profile would be way faster than that for sure eks dee

You can talk as fast as Amazon let's you.

Also no one forces you to use the Alexa skill o_O
