The Mamba has the perfect amount of extra buttons that I want on a mouse: tilt wheel, two buttons below the wheel, and two more buttons where the thumb rests.

It's a match made in heaven for me.

Only problem is that the Mamba series uses the laser sensor that my current Naga has, and I do not want to deal with this frustration all over again. (I lift the mouse a lot when I play action games/shooters, and the laser sensor does NOT like this)

Please consider making a Razer Mamba V2 that uses the new optical sensor. I know I'm not the only one out there that seriously wants this to happen. Save me from my Naga lol

I would buy it in a second if they came out with a mamba like this :) you are right! you are not the only one that seriously wants this! I have always bought deathadders because of this. But would totally buy a mamba if it had an optical sensor.

Right? I really hope they already have it in the works because I'm positive the mice would fly off their shelves lol

I love wireless, I love optical, and most of all I love the Mamba. Please.

  5. I love the my Mamba but you are correct- this sensor has got to go. Even if they y'all can't replace the mouse, at least make a limited edition version with the optical sensor pls.

But seriously, if Razer made an optical Mamba, I wouldn't mind dropping another $150 to get another one...

I want a Mamba with an optical sensor so bad haha. I don't even play games with my Naga anymore.

If a game requires a mouse, I just use my Steam Controller lol

    Razer, please :frown_:

  7. So while in a retail BB I saw a mamba TE on display, put the thing in my hand and honestly the ergonomics felt pretty great - the M1/M2 were hair trigger as well. The DA next to it didn't feel nearly as good. Although I saw it was running a laser sensor... but why? If I ever had to suggest anything it would to be to release a mamba running the new 3360 variant you guys just put in your DA elite. The PCB can't change that much to not fit in the shell properly.

I highly recommend you put the new sensor in that same shape and it will most likely be a widely used product amongst the competitive niche, not saying stop the DA but offer another option with the same sensor. Anyone else feel that way? I just don't understand why other than 'marketing' reasons which even then doesn't make sense to me. The freaking mamba feels great in my hand. Probably on par with the EC series.
  8. This is a must, laser sensors are horrible. Razer should use the same senor as the elite edition of the deathadder.

Thats funny I don't like the ergonomics of the new Mamba because I've been using the Mamba 2012 for years and it is almost the same shape as the DA so I prefer that and was just complaining about the change, haha.
  10. Haha. Well it's all preference - but I really think they shouldn't lose potential sales just by not carrying the same lineup across each shape. I'm sure they make a return on the investment greatly - but it could be greater by giving competitive gamers another option - I'm sure they have their reasons behind product development and marketing but it's just annoying to see in my opinion.
  11. This is what I've wanted ever since day one with my Mamba - a proper optical sensor instead of the current awful optical one. I think the Mamba would definitely be worth that $150 or even more with the new sensor!

I agree I have a mamba and a death adder on the same mouse pad and I prefer the deathadder but only because the mambas sensor goes kinda nuts at times

Currently using a Naga and looking for a mouse to upgrade to. The Mamba TE is something that I am considering, but the laser sensor is really putting me off. Need to make a decision now as I am getting the new mouse as a present.

    +1 to the optical Mamba.

I'm using a DA, planned on getting a Mamba for wireless gaming, but I also lift my mouse quite a lot :confused_:
So +1 for optical sensor Mamba and hope Razer change so I can buy it :cool_:

I ended up buying a different mouse entirely. Maybe next time lol
I'll just have to wait and see if this ever comes to fruition.
