After the truly tremendous hiccups Razer experienced with its last iteration (late 2016 w GTX 1060) of its 14 inches system, I am actually looking forward to a refreshed, re-engineered version of it, on which many issues/opportunities could potentially be addressed:

    1) Stabilize performance and bring it up to par, or closER.
    2) Take advantage of the opportunity of modifying the keyboard to include symbols illumination.
    3) Allow for fan profiles customization as other systems from other brands allow via their proprietary system-management-engines.

Regarding the 3 point, it might be time to include in synapse fine-tuning capabilities to allow people to tweak / correct and customize their systems without the excessive need of third party tools. Adding this to its management engine is, by far, nothing it hasn't been seen before.

Those are, although huge, the only things I could immediately think would increase the "value" of the system considering its price tag.

And a point and click trackpad. Also perhaps with a finish that won't show so many finger marks... SD card reader while we're at it.

And maybe they can add a 32gb ram option so I can buy it!! Also if they can manage to up the size of the battery a bit that would be welcome.

SD card is a useless addition for a huge segment of users. Get a dongle...

Agree with many of the other recs.

Does anyone know when the Razer Blade 14 2017 will be released?

No. No one here would ever know, unless there's a massive banner at the top of the page announcing it...

Just bring the old font back! And I don't mind an OLED screen like the Alienware 13 has.

What were these hiccups if I may ask?

short battery life, really hot temps fans really loud on idle and load

OLED instead of a display that basically is only good in direct sight and which takes too much battery
Coninuation of FHD, or even better raising the quality
basically No glare-display that akes battery and gives bad quality
Instead two choices, fhd and OLED.

    Charger-Port via Usb-C

    nice but not neccessary:
    2nd m.2-Slot
    gtx1070 (Too few space?)
    Increase in Trackpad-quality (from reviews?)

The blade with a 1060gpu takes up too much power for it to charge via usb-c
they might be able to squeeze in a 2nd m.2 slot. but most likely wont because its not really needed for on the go gaming. if you want that, then i would go for the Pro :)
gtx 1070 is too powerful and hot for that small of a chassis
I would love to see a better trackpad with better buttons as well

But even though the 1060 gpu takes too much power, chagring via the usb type c dosent have to be fast but at least charge

So you are saying like if the computer is off or in sleep mode then it should be able to be charged by the USB-C port? but if you are gaming then it just wouldnt charge it?

yes and well i mean i can charge while gaming via type c port but just not as primary power supplier

From what I read on here, reviews on YouTube, and discussions on Reddit, there are a few improvements that I'd love to see done:

    1) upping the CPU to Kaby Lake, the increased CPU power helps with playing games like CS:GO and multi-tasking while playing games.
    2) GTX 1060 is fine as it is.
    3) there's no need to add SD cards.
    4) If it can somehow solve the high temperature issues, then I'd be able to live with higher fan noise so that laptop temperature can be low.
    5) Upping the power supply capacity while keeping the overall weight of the system below 4.4lbs (Full HD)

Hi you won't recognize the differences between kabylake and skylake in real Performance. I would personally prefer late 2017 update with better gtx1060 performance or maybe 1160 and canon lake update. The thermals in Blade late 1060 is better than models before, you can see dave2d and linustech video. Considering my experience now with it, they only have to solve the uncontrolled CPU fan noise in late2016 model.
  17. You won't be able to charge while gaming with the thunderbolt port. Thunderbolt 3 will take 100W, but the blade will pull around 160W under load. So it would just discharge.

I would love to buy the FULLHD version with 100% sRGB, also, the Razer PRO's TrackPad would be nice.

Idk if this is just me,but 99% rgb would be sick. Another thing is some quieter fans

While performance wise it'll be an obvious upgrade, what I would like to see are continuous improvements on are thermals cause them fans run loud.
