Can you cloning nvme directly to HDD or USB drive without nvme adapter? I can't boot if I clone it, have to do fresh window installation.

I have cloned all drives to an external SSD and a VHDx volume.
Its why I have been late with new vids as I messed up my dual boots.
Now pardon me for saying its not entirely clear what you are asking but is it you want to replace the internal nvme with another larger capacity one?
So I would image all the partitions to an external USB standard type drive.
Replace the NVME with your 2TB one etc
Boot up the recovery USB external drive (both can be on the same drive) and place all the images on the raw new 2TB nvme except the last
Now not yet having done this, you may be able to resize the C drive before placing or leave the last image recovery image.
Boot to windows 10, extend C: using diskpart or disk manager.

If I have it wrong or you want to ask more pop it underneath this post....

I could clone it to my several 2,5HDD, and saw same volume, but when I replaced nvme with new one and try booting from hdd, it came error message and couldn’t be booted with several try through bios. So I gave up and did clean install windows.
It’s for my stealth though, Blade i had upgrade it to 1tb, stealth still on 128gb;)

Ok so your erasing your external 2.5 and partitioning it the same as the original disk.
You then want to boot up to the external 2.5 disk (as per original internal).
Then use your internal disk as a Full 1TB disk say as D:

Yes, try that but came error message when I tried to boot it, but on windows boot driver that I downloaded windows from Microsoft it’s fine to boot. I think I need nvme adapter idk. One downside from fresh windows install is that i don’t have anymore access to factory recovery mode by pressing F9 after boot, so I’ve to keep the original 256ssd in case there’s windows software (update) issues, or maybe asking again Razer for bootable usb driver.

    Think we are getting there.
Have you tried removing the nvme and just booting to the external drive?
Reason I ask is the drive letters can get mixed up where it will see the internal as C: and your external as D:
The boot partition says boot to drive C: and the nvme has no OS.

So if I am correct we have to tell the 100MB partition not to go to C: but to go to D:

or am I getting it all wrong.
Maybe try some mspaint topology and if possible write a brief error message or take a photo for me to look at.

ok, I tried again to get a clone to boot using Macrium Reflectfree, and even EasyBCD and I had same issues as before. The one you are describing.

Now I am confident if you install windows fresh to the usb it would work fine but that means you have to get drivers etc right.

Now you will be glad to know your favourite Razer Blade 15 uploader has found an working solution and will post a video soon.

Hey iDatus, just caught your new boot from USB video at:

    AWESOME!!!
I've used Macrium Reflect as my imaging software of choice for years, but could never get USB boot to work.
    NICE! THANKS!
And of course, a big shout out to the boys and girls at Hasleo Software!

Thanks dude. This video should open up a whole new set of options for those who just managed to purchase the RB15 A or B version and don't have a bunch more coin to splash on new internal.

    ;)
I wanted to do that on stealth but the thing is, Razer shipped me stealth recovery stick for that, and on my stealth since unlike my Blade 14, it’s mostly paperwork on 128gb original ssd, i just put it on usb and did install windows through given usb recovery. Though I think I saw some users using it on Reddit.
    Peace Xmas;)
