    Hi guys.

I'm wondering if you see any drops in performance on either of the Pro models when unplugged? I currently have an MSI GS73VR which drops frames and games are completely unplayable when in battery mode. Apparently this is normal and is the case across all models, but is less than ideal for me as I travel and would really like to be able to get a quick game in without plugging in.

    Thanks in advance :)

Change from max battery to max performance on nvidia experience. On max battery frame capped on 30fps.

Thanks very much for the reply. Unfortunately even after disabling battery boost on GeForce Experience altogether the problem persists. I've also changed the Nvidia control panel settings to favour performance and still no joy.

What games are you playing on the go? Just tried it on AC Origins, battery boost off I’m still getting lower FPS on battery that plugged but it’s playable for me (not 30fps, it’s over sometimes reach over 40), but once plugged FPS was going over it and game is smoother (tested on high setting), reach over 50.

I also have AC Origins. With Battery Boost disabled and Nvidia Control Panel settings set to prefer performance I get around 15fps when unplugged. Running the game in Very Low graphics settings also makes no difference. You have the Razer Blade 14 correct? I spoke to MSI today and even they say that all of their models will do this in battery mode.

Yes Blade 14 2017, with same cpu and gpu as your MSI I think. No, optimus technology won’t cap the performance to 15fps under battery, it’s unplayable. Idk if you’re using wishper mode though (it’s right over the battery boost option, if you’re using latest nvidia experience), but I think wishper mode is useless under battery mode.
